...but they aren't. As a result of a brief roadtrip then a load of image editing work, I've been a bit out of the loop this week, so as much for my own benefit as anything else, here's some stuff.

Vimeo has some new coding action on the go, so if it goes wrong, directly blame Vimeo and indirectly blame those tool-bags over at Apple.
Dan Lacey has dropped a new Daily Telegraph edit. That's a phrase I didn't think I'd ever say. Head over to Federal to view it, as I refuse to put auto-playing videos on here...

Speaking - as we were - of Ride, they've got a new edit of Lima up which also gives you the chance to win an ATF. Click that link to go over there and grovel like a 'tard like so many people seem to, thinking it'll enhance their chances.
I don't know why, but the way that video was edited sort of made it seem like as a viewer, I was being punished for something. In related 'music I didn't like' editing news, Ride US posted a 2 week old video on their site that featured literally the worst song I've ever heard - which was in fact so bad I'm not posting it here - but it did lead me to seeing this video of Hoang Tran on Vimeo after I did a bit of lurking on Subrosa's channel. Hefty.
Another Vimeo find was this edit of Bruno Hoffmann. The guy's ridiculous.
Very much lastly because I'm tired of this screen, go to LeastMost, read an interview about it, then watch I Love My Bicycle. Most definitely worth it.

This whole "Flipcam edit" thing that people keep doing has been mildly irritating me for a while, simply in terms of me not caring what people film it on, and it not mattering what they filmed it on (If someone puts a photo up online, they don't generally go "Here's a new Canon edit"...). You don't need to justify why your video's low quality. Regardless, Ride have stepped the pointless title game up a little bit by making an "iPhone 4 brakeless edit". I wonder how specific, in months to come, video titles are going to be? Maybe include temperature and humidity to really convey the difficult conditions both rider and filmer had to include? "Sony VX-1000, fisheye lens, brakeless, 24°C, 85% humidity, slightly dehydrated, partially hungry" edit, maybe? Who knows. Anyway, here's the video I initially mentioned.

In other news, Federal/FocalPoint rider Troy Jackson has an edit up. I don't really know what it was filmed with so you're going to have to sit through the video under the heavy cloud of mystery about what they used, but he is brakeless in case you couldn't work it out from simply watching the video and needed to be told in the title of it.
Jeff K has done some interesting things on his bike that were filmed somehow and edited using some editing programme then uploaded to the Etnies website to view with whatever you're looking at this on to be seen by your eyes.
Paul Ryan is really good and is currently being slowly cooked under the warm Spanish sun. This is him getting some lines in before the BCN Pro comp.
I was going to call the "Dove for men" pre-roll ad on this video flagrantly gay, but "fragrantly gay" would be a far better pun, so there we are. Once you get past the 'fragrantly' gay Dove pre-roll, there are good things to be seen.
Animal have some shiny new cloth... - wait, "cut and sew" items out. Pretty sweet. First time I've ever seen a wallet I've liked?
DSLRs are 'in' these days, especially for filming duties. My boss just bagged himself a 7D and they are nice to see, although pretty much every video I've seen people use them on recently has sort of felt detached from it all. I kinda miss the low-fi, up close look of older videos, maybe... Anyway, from Stoke with love:
Ride have a pretty cool overspill piece up on Tenerife. Randomly, I was checking a customer's address in Tenerife earlier today, and hit up the Street view feature on Google. I was remarking then on how many spots there were on the street our customer lived on, turns out there's plenty more around there. Drop out "The new Barca?" line, perhaps?

Meant to post these over the relevant days they came up on the site, but I've been busy either at work or being ill, so I've not really had much of a chance... Anyway, 2010 wallpapers, an awesome Photobooth with Benson and a Preview of their new issue (which features the third Informer I've had photos in with no photo credit, haha - in related news, it's of Pete Greaves who also has the riding photo for the Queens Banks article. No coverage for forever, then 2 articles in a month, steady progress).
There were a couple of videos I was going to watch today, but they were generally park based and after watching the pretty cool Range Of Motion at lunchtime I can't really handle watching anyone ride any more transitioned items for a day or two.
EDIT: I suck - here's a Mike Saavedra 'Day in the life' I got round to watching that was pretty cool. Dude has a nice car, and a hat my housemate would be fully in approval of.
Nathan Williams is ridiculously good. The music in this video is ridiculously bad. Regardless, he does some rad tricks in it so it's definitely worth a watch, just maybe on mute? Saw this on Ride UK.
George Ramirez has been getting progressively better and better, and here's his latest vid - a Props ad for Fit.
Defgrip have been running a Nike 6.0 comp, and some entries are in. Some good stuff in there, go here to check out some cool artwork.
One of the things I like seeing most in videos is people going really fast over hips and doing those little tweaks. I don't know what it is about them, but they're awesome, and there's one to demonstrate in this Bicycle Union video. Lots of other rad riding too, give it a peep.
I don't really know much about the LeastMost apart from 3 things: They're now in BMXFeed, the term "Shreditorial" made me cringe so hard I almost inverted my face, and they have a Van Homan interview on their site with this accompanying Props Bio.
There have been more rumours of indoor parks near or in Southampton than the number of flat tyres I got last year. However, this one looks a little more serious - click over to Ride's site for the info! £1.4m...
Interesting how a company can link to videos like Zeitgeist and stuff like that with some fairly outwardly religious dudes on their team. Probably reading too much into that... but yeah, I'm still pretty interested to see how it all works out in the long run. Into Adam Roye's graphics and the like, and it seems to be a bit different to the 'normal' BMX company vibe which can only be a good thing. Saw this on TCU anyway:
As a Christmas bonus, Ride UK have put up their awesome video No Front Teeth. The video shows it's age a bit in terms of how ridiculously young certain people in there look, the tricks being done and bike setups in general, but it's still amazing and well worth a watch. I used to watch it pretty much every day when I first got hold of it, and some sections on it are still my favourites out of any DVD.

Tom Perry is a pretty rad dude who happens to be awesome at general art-related stuff, but also at riding. His part in the Give D video was cool (click his name tag to find it), and this new Odyssey edit is most definitely worthy of your time too - not least because it features the best manny to three I've ever seen in it. That's how you do 'em, not that manny to 3-tap business...

Not content with releasing some photos of a bangin' looking Tierra, Fly have bobbed up some new photos of the Pantera frame. Looks pretty fly (InstantRimshot.com). Got some new Pantera bars too that are now 8.35" tall, and feature a non-kinky crossbar. Apparently Sergio learnt to work around a normal crossbar to get his no-handers done.

First off, two videos I watched last night - ordered Attention Stalybridge and The Wythenshawe Waltz from Clarky a few days ago and got to watch them yesterday, back to back. Quality videos, really made me want to ride! Pity I live in the middle of nowhere, and it was raining...
