iPod cable.
Yep, named this post after the first thing I saw.
I'm pretty sure when all the 2011 completes come out from all the different companies involved in BMX, once at least one of all the different models of bike on the market get sold the current amount of bikes in the world will double, if not treble. I mean seriously, millions of bikes. Stepping up to the "Whoa there, that's enough" plate are Sunday and Diamondback. Sunday made a little embedded player, Diamondback didn't, so you can view the Sundays here but have to go to DB's site to view their's.
In "New stuff" news, Clicked have an exclusive...
Also in "New" news, the next issue of Cult is apparently out soon, although it seems to be going more down the 'corporate' (for want of a better word) route rather than the previous route (e.g. more photos of bike parts, less porn photos with "Grab ur pads, blow ur load" written over them).
In video news, Tom Davis is now on Sunday's UK team, and this is his obligatory 'welcome' video. S.Wales gets rinsed!
Another person in team switching news is Lil Jon, who's now on Kink Pro. Think I might've put this before, but smooth bowl riding = repeatable with no regrets on my side.
In complete contrast to these past two 'team business' videos is this BluntedAtheltics video.
I swear Tammy is actually Butlin's American brother...

Well whaddaya know?
With my wireless plan I get 12am-9am free, and usually it's dog slow. Tonight, however, it's on fire!
Couple of quick vids before some sleep and the resume of the daily grind - first up, Part Two of Ian Schwartz's part in the Sunday video. Click his label for P1.
Lastly, this banger of an edit from Charlie Jobling of Mat Roe and Robbo. Those two can't actually ever have a bad edit between them - fact. So good! I mentioned liking the smaller things like little hip tweaks, well, Mat Roe has a bunch of cool ways of going over a spine. It's the little things...

Fun time.
Well, when snow means you can't ride your normal bike, but that doesn't mean you can't ride any type of bike. This thing rules! Front ski has suspension so it levels off a bit more when you're riding it, but means you can jump it and land a bit sketchy if you have to. Awesome.
I can't remember if I put it up before (I hope I did...), but Sunday have put up Part 1 of Ian Schwartz's section from Up, Up and Away. The second part is pure bangers, this is just pure tech. All good.
Lastly, TheComeUp has a new video from Chase Dehart, Randy Brown and others. The song is awful and the quality's not much better, but it's pretty much worth watching just for a bump 3 that Randy Brown does about 3/4 of the way in. Click here.

Webvid Day?
So, couple of videos up today. First off, Dakota Roche has banged out an edit at a park in the US of A for Cult. In related news, turns out the Cult 'zine is still going, which rules!
Ashley Charles quite often seems to get overlooked by people as he's not a big, in your face sponsored pro dude, but he's still ridiculously good. I mean, just watch this video. Winner. This was for Eclat.
UK street, aw yeah. This is a 'To Flat' edit from the P5/Dub street jam in London (although technically Scotty D doesn't really go 'to flat' on that ledge ride...), which features an ender that was featured as an ender for the old Carhartt jam from years ago. Still a ridiculous trick though, you really have to go there to get an idea of how gigantic that set is, and how bad the run-out is.
Put up a part from a video called 'Gotta Blast' a few days ago - turns out it was an old Shook video. Here's a few more bits from it:
Mentioned yesterday the news about Ian Schwartz GTFO of the BMX pro world. Adam from TheComeUp did a bit of a retrospective that has some of his old videos on it, click here to see that. This is his part from the Sunday video though. Too good.

Ah, what am I saying - long live the blog!
Yet another of the most consistently awesome series of web-vids ever, Tuesdays With Miles. Seriously - so good! This time, in Salt Lake City. Winners.

I never really feel qualified to say whether a trails video is good or not. They mostly seem to be the same series of kick-outs, just that some of them aren't in the trees. You do get some occasional stand-outs though (e.g. anything with Mulville, Dropsy, Aitken, Chase Hawk, etc.), so I'll leave this up to the public opinion as to how good this is:

Developments.
Odyssey have created some kind of new drive system, their "Socket drive" setup - currently specifically for flatland (Maybe not strong enough for street yet?), but we'll see I guess. Gotta be honest - more into the Tree Spline Drive sprockets, but who knows what the future holds?

Zzz...
Holy moly, I am tired. But before I expire, Tom Arkus has an interview up by Vinyl about his Sunday hookup, and some other stuff. Words, people, riding:
Daniel Dhers dropped out a new trick - the "Cash Roll". He mentions in this video that he was happy he pulled it, and looks forward to doing it again. That definition of 'pulled' is pretty loose. Interesting how he describes learning to do the trick though - pretty stark contrast to learning new stuff on, say, street or trails...

Man...
...I'm tired. Lesson: Don't start drinking early on an empty stomach, in a city you're not used to.
Anyways, before I crash out - Sunday have put out this edit for their Triumph bars. Could've abbreviated it to "Exactly like Slams, but a shade lighter", but hey ho. Some cool clips anyway, and it again gives me a chance to point out how awesome Ian Schwartz' section is on that DVD. Seriously, it's actually cut out seperate from the rest in it's own little .m4v video file so I can bust out the Nano and watch it wherever, whenever. Too good.
Chase Dehart has apparently found out that unlike me, he can actually wear a hat, and is now doing so. Equally, compared to his first media appearances, he's learnt to be a bit more outspoken. All good. Stay Fit #9:

Hello again.
Yeah, been a while. This weekend was full of riding, fun times and general merriment, none of which involved online things, so not much blog activitititititity.
A quick look at the BMX fashion forecast: Headbands are still in, and ETs are most definitely on their way in. Couple cut-off skinny jeans, a headband and an ET and you're set for this summer's look. Unrelated to that but related to the video - I've been so tempted to grab a hang-5er's rear peg before, but I knew that would happen. I'm too nice.
Tim tells me I've been overly harsh recently, so I'll try and tone it down.
Anyways, Luke Peeters (With 3 E's) is now on United, as is Boiski. However, Boiski didn't get a 'Welcome to the Team' edit - favouritism!
Apparently they have bios and stuff on the United site, but I didn't really care enough to find out. I'm sure 90% of the Internet's word is true enough.
Shadow have some new clothing out, go check it on their site in some flip-book somewhere (They're still not good - even Russ agrees!).
FBM inform me that Mickey Marshall is no longer riding for them, they have a new Exodus prototype (Ironically named - fair play for that!), and that people around the world are still willing to put the time in to make awesome birthday cakes:
For those of you who can't imagine what a crinkly tube looks like inside (Kinda like the outside, but inside), Sunday have the answer!
Shola have some proto fork photos up (In conjunction with Brucey/KHE? Who knows) - that logo's dangerously close to the edge of the bottom of the steerer tube bit? (Tech term.)
Dig have been utterly pounding the Facebook News Feed today, which happened to include this gem - the Tom Blyth Sturdy Wrists. Old Dig is rad, film is rad, Tom B is rad. Rad^3!
Dennis Enarson has a Day In The Life Of video up somewhere, but I have almost no idea where I watched it or even what player it was on. All I can remember is he lives pretty close to the Mexican border, enjoys eating Mexican food, had a shoulder surgery the day after the riding was filmed, and looks exactly like both of his parents. I suppose in a way that's all you need to know?
On my 'Quick last check!' BMX news scour, happened to stumble upon this video of Mark Mulville - always a pleasure, never a chore.

If you want to see some fairly bold claims about Sunday video that aren't really justified, click here. I'd go so far as to say it's better than Electronical, slightly. I think most people who I've spoken to about Electronical have the same opinion as me, so assuming that's a global trend, you should all be able to work out what that would suggest the Sunday video was like. Ian Schwartz is by far and away the best thing about that video.

Notro kicked off a few days ago, and Garrett Reynolds surprisingly didn't win. He did, however, win best trick for the line you'll see at the end of the video. It's amazing how most US (I know it's Canadian...) comps still look identical to comps from years ago. Looking back at super old issues of Props, it's like nothing's changed (apart from the amount of spins/whips, I suppose), compared to street riding which is significantly different to what it was like 'back in the day'...

In hideously unrelated news, what? The world is crazy.
Lloyd's put another little diary-style day edit on Streetphire from the desolate streets of MK. No-hander -> manny -> bars being a personal favourite.

Some of you might've seen Subrosa's Bash Bike before (Hit up their site for more, or search on here), and continuing in that 'bringing back old details' style, here's a random sample they had that Ryan and Kyle have been running:

In other "New frame news", Chase Hawk's popular signature frame is having another revision, this time being converted to a more Dak-esque frame with narrower, but thicker, tubing, front triangle gussets, etc. - check out how thin the stays are. Pics from DevonHutchinsDotCom. And, indirectly, Fit.
*If I've got to put up with seeing a steamy-mirror picture of Thierry Henry every time I go on their site, it'd be a lot better if the ad didn't randomly open itself to it's full size then freeze, leading to accusations of "Are you gay? Why are you looking at a naked Thierry Henry?" when people walk into my room...
