All the D's.

First off, two videos I watched last night - ordered Attention Stalybridge and The Wythenshawe Waltz from Clarky a few days ago and got to watch them yesterday, back to back. Quality videos, really made me want to ride! Pity I live in the middle of nowhere, and it was raining...

Anyway, in complete contrast to those videos, here's a Demolition web-edit of Scott Hamlin:

If you go to the Ride site you can check out some photos too, and a Demolition banner that they must've paid some goooood money to have up there. The latest development in the online advertising/webvideo vs. print advertising/DVD war? Heard about this kicking off a while back, was waiting to see it drop... (As a little caveat, I've been out of the BMX internet loop for a while now so if it's already been used a bunch before... well, there we are.)

In related Demolition news, they've also got a December team mix up that I clocked over on Defgrip.

Deluxe (see, all the D's!) had a link up to a Fuel interview with the awesome Mark Mulville. Click his tag to check out some recent video-age, they're weeeell worth it.

More S&M hub news.

Lurking pays off. Those were the shots of the S&M hub, and here's another one - this time with a drilled out 8t driver?

Shiny. Another rumour flying around is that they're potentially going to be out-sourced from S&M to none other than Profile? Who knows!

In other "Vague news about hubs" news - Alienation have popped up with a new clutch-system rear hub. Not a freecoaster! They're almost silent, and theoretically give almost instant engagement. Various companies have been doing them for MTBs for some time, and they're popular for commuter road-bikes and the like, so it was only a matter of time 'til they appeared in BMX. Allegedly the Ratchet was potentially going to be clutch-drive very, very early on, but Mr. French didn't like how quick it engaged going fakie. Hmm... Anyway, Alienation! More on Ride.

Might as well put this here too - Demolition have finally got a placca pedal out:

Apparently it's "Bad music, awesome riding" day for webvideos. First up is some nuts riding but awful music from DahStreets. Ben Hittle's getting dangerously close to breaking into the Top 5 riders to watch list?

BNQT decided to do a "Best of..." edit that teamed their best footage with the worst music they could find:

Uh-oh...

Dig are apparently not quite up to date (which makes a change, 'cos their new "Something new on the site every day" thing's meant they're making the news, not re-posting it) today, in that in the Randy Taylor bikecheck they posted online an hour and a bit ago they list his parts sponsor as Demolition, yet that isn't the case any more. Hand-bags at dawn?

In other bikecheck - how interesting - news, Justin Inman's got a bikecheck up on Ride US. That is one pimp setup, although I spent the whole time thinking "2.3" on the back and 2.25" on the front? That's gotta feel weird..."

Lastly, Orchid made it into Maxim?! Pretty crazy, although those shoes do look pretty sweet. If they were actually vulc soles I'd probably have bought every existing pair of UK10's that are available. Subtle hint for free product? Always on the look-out...

I won't make excuses.

I'm only blogging 'cos small town Llandod is pretty boring on NYE when almost all your family and all your friends aren't around. But yeah, there we are - Demolition have released a webvid to amuse us all. I'd probably have posted this earlier if their RSS Feed worked properly, but there we are.

Equally, FBM have created a slideshow with a bunch of photos from the previous year, pretty cool:

Happy New Year everyone... Don't forget them resolutions! Am I gonna make some bold predictions about making sure I'm going to ride and post on here at least once a day? Fully enforce The 7-set Rule (One 'Checking it out' run, then you've gotta do whatever it is on anything up to a 7 set!)? Who knows...
