Moozak.

Spotted this on the Case Facebook page ("Casebook page", maybe?) - Rob Castle's band X.X Cortez have an interview up here. You can check out some of their music here.

In other news:

Nailz is rad, and isn't shy of a nickname or two.

Mutiny X Etnies edit dropping soon according to their site, where you can also check the new Ride UK cover.

Lastly, Jim "I just want to see what's possible" Cielinski has put a "How to Crankslide" video up on the Sunday site. I've been keen to learn these for a while, might as well give 'em a go now...

New year, new stuff.

Well, don't know about you, but I celebrated the new year by buying some car insurance, then going and buying a 2 litre turbo diesel in racing green from a now defunct UK car manufacturer. Good times.

Anyways, couple of photo related things popped up on the internets over the past few days - Luke Towey got a Rapid Response feature up on Dig which has a bunch of interesting photos shot by Mr. Fred Murray, and that gives me an excuse to post up the video of him again:

Secondly, Jeff Z (nope, couldn't be bothered remembering how many 'i's there were in his name, in a very similar way to my approach to writing Jim Sealkinky's real name) has an autophoto up on Defgrip. Go and look at it, nooow!

Seeing as it's neither raining nor snowing, I'm going to make the most of a dry spell to try and work off some of the cake I've eaten recently. Ta ta!

Developments.

Odyssey have created some kind of new drive system, their "Socket drive" setup - currently specifically for flatland (Maybe not strong enough for street yet?), but we'll see I guess. Gotta be honest - more into the Tree Spline Drive sprockets, but who knows what the future holds?

What you can be sure of in the future is that there's always going to be speculation, mis-information and drama. Adam over at TCU drew attention to this issue in the Vert section - be interesting to see what Fat Tony has to say to DMC's comments which he's so far ignored...

Sunday have another 'misc edit' up, this time for their Forumph bars:

FORUMPH BARS FROM SUNDAYBIKES.COM

A different kind of 'misc edit' this time - from Kink - an old ad with some early Safety First footage. That's a bangin' DVD!

Check out their Vimeo channel for more of their awesome web-videos, or click the "Kink" tag below!

The last few days...

Well, as a result of the Tim Lewis Live Text Update service I was getting I had a rough idea about the whole Ride to Glory gig, but a H-Man (Namedrop!) call on the way back from Leeds confirmed that WTP won this year. Good stuff. Go here for the legit coverage. Heard some interesting Jim C./Ben Hennon stuff, haha.

Anyways, as I mentioned, I was in Leeds for the Charles Prow "King For A Day" jam. Good times were had, and I think it was a great tribute to Charles. I put up some 'proper' words on the subject (and some photos) up here.

The day before, I ate a piece of fish that was as long as my forearm. All fish, right the way up the batter. Bangin'! I know, I know, I put it on my blog too, but it's a remarkable piece of food!

On the same weekend, P5 re-assessed whether Brighton Was Ready and held another jam. Ollie from Streetphire put this little edit together of the day.

In other news...

J.J. Palmere is back on Premium and back on your screens:

And finally, another video, courtesy of Madera, who took a trip to Memphis.

EDIT: Forgot to mention as well - I said a few days ago about Fly having proto plastic pedals - well, they do, as well as a new type of stem with a different way of clamping your forks, and some other little trinkets too, including a weird new rear hub that everyone kinda knows about anyway. Super precise info there, revel in it...

Man...

...I'm tired. Lesson: Don't start drinking early on an empty stomach, in a city you're not used to.

Anyways, before I crash out - Sunday have put out this edit for their Triumph bars. Could've abbreviated it to "Exactly like Slams, but a shade lighter", but hey ho. Some cool clips anyway, and it again gives me a chance to point out how awesome Ian Schwartz' section is on that DVD. Seriously, it's actually cut out seperate from the rest in it's own little .m4v video file so I can bust out the Nano and watch it wherever, whenever. Too good.

Chase Dehart has apparently found out that unlike me, he can actually wear a hat, and is now doing so. Equally, compared to his first media appearances, he's learnt to be a bit more outspoken. All good. Stay Fit #9:

Late.

Took my sweet time, didn't I? Busy weekends and busy weekdays mean slow posts, apologies...

First up, three trails vids (?!). No doubt someone'll get uppity about calling the first video trails, but meh...

Go to BNQT for more videos.

Pretty rad video from Heath Pinter's jam.

Derelict BMX - March in 50 Frames Per Second from Dave King on Vimeo.

A new "check out my fancy camera" (joking...) video from Derelict.

There's a bit of trails in there, but it's Brian Frickin' Foster so that makes up for the lack of soil content in there.

In other "Sweet video" news:

This is Randy Taylor's part from a recent issue of Props that contains a lot of other awesome riding of this standard, and that you should definitely buy.

Randy Taylor Bio from Adrian Sogaray on Vimeo.

Equally, the new Props is out now, so go buy that here. I've posted the trailer for that before so you should have no doubts as to how awesome that one's gonna be. (In other shop related news, the new DUB video is out right here, as are the Kink seats I mentioned a few posts back.)

Notro kicked off a few days ago, and Garrett Reynolds surprisingly didn't win. He did, however, win best trick for the line you'll see at the end of the video. It's amazing how most US (I know it's Canadian...) comps still look identical to comps from years ago. Looking back at super old issues of Props, it's like nothing's changed (apart from the amount of spins/whips, I suppose), compared to street riding which is significantly different to what it was like 'back in the day'...

(EDIT: Ride's insane coding and "WHY DID YOU THINK IT'D BE A GOOD IDEA?!" autoplay feature mean you're going to have to click this link. It's probably not worth it, unless you fast forward to the end to see Garrett...)

Part 2 of Jim C's interview with Mark Noble is up on ESPN, go read it!

Video-tastic.

Sunday have produced a trailer for their new video, Up, Up & Away, and here it is:

BROUGHT TO YOU BY SUNDAY!

Bonus: There's a rad interview by Mark Noble with Jim Ciel... Cielen... over on ESPN that's well worth a read.

HideoutBMX have also put out a pretty substantial edit, and here that is:
