Writing: No thanks.

I now know 10,000 words more about the future of citizen photojournalism than I did 2 weeks ago. Meh...

Apologies for the lack of updates, but needs must and all that jazz. To make up for it, here's a skate video. Ha. It's pretty sweet though so check it out, it's not like you've got anything else to do? And if you do, well, make time for it... Clicky

Heard rumours of this from when they were filming at SB, and lo, here t'is - at home with Benson.

Beginnings of an ambitious project? Just listed some local spots to me (How useful for people in Southampton? Come ride here!), gradually gonna expand it. My legacy for when I leave London? Who knows.*

When did Robbie Morales fire Tim Westwood from his script-writing team? He actually sounds normal now...

Muy bueno.

Ollie Dubs (As I've just decided to call him) has made this video for the Nike Media Apprentice thing that, if you haven't entered already, you're pretty much to late for.

I wish I could go to the Newcastle P5 jam this weekend. Seriously, Newcastle's too good. Only been there once, now I'm moving there in July? Smitten.

That made news? What? Really? Copyright: in case they try and sue or some jibber jabber.

I've ridden bikes recently, so have others - Brazel and Tim.

Related: Both of those mediocre spots are on that Googlemaps map.

*Correct answer is "Dissertation procrastination".

Pijin 2 now open!

Ok, we've been busily shifting stuff from P1 to P2 over the last few days. It's been a lot more work than anticipated (isn't it always?). There's still a lot to be done but the biggest thing is that we are up and running at the new premises.

So... why not come down and visit the new shop? We've moved just up the road, opposite the Kentucky Fried Chicken at the traffic lights.

We've got a limited number of posters and stickers to give away... so just come in early and ask before it's too late!

Tomorrow afternoon (Saturday), we have the Seventies crew consisting of Niki Croft, Stu Dawkins and Colin visiting. So come along and say hi!

I will have my pocket camera, so will post some pictures in my next post. Over and out. :D

Furious jelly.

This is probably more for filming geeks out there, but yeah, 1000fps. Bang. Anyway, even if you're not into the rest of it skip to around 1:55 to see some furious jelly. You'll see what I mean.

I-Movix SprintCam v3 NAB 2009 showreel from David Coiffier on Vimeo.

I'd also recommend watching it in HD on their actual vimeo page.

While we're talking about non BMX stuff, here's a documentary (Well, it's 3 minutes long) on Reverse Graffiti that ties in nicely with the new Solid ad.

Mutiny have been a treasure-trove of good videos today, firstly posting up this BNQT/Tuesdays With Miles vid featuring some pretty big names (And some pretty big hops thanks to Brad Simms):

Go to BNQT for more videos.

And then this Robbo edit from Up In Smoke's bonus section:

Lastly, Macneil have a competition that you only stand a chance of winning if you're 17, are about to turn 18, and you live in America. So... yeah. In completely unrelated news, I'd forgotten how good this Josh Betley video is.

Bits 'n' pieces.

Saw this on a trials site this morning, then found out it'd already made it onto TCU. Gutted, haha. Anyway, still well worth watching. It's not BMX, but there's still a hell of a lot of skill (and balls) involved in doing some of this stuff, and it certainly makes you look at spots differently.

Ashley Charles is sunning himself in LA at the moment, and he scored a bikecheck up on Ride. There's also the second part of the rad Framed series on ESPN from WTP which talks about a good few of the products you can see on Ashley's bike.

Speaking of Ride - on the better Ride site, there's a pretty sweet two-part interview with Scotty D and Jack from DUB - click here for that.

Rob Castle's got a sequence up on Metal's site. Boom!

Merit Compatibles is back, back again. Merit's back, tell a friend.

All this shiny new stuff from Tree and Lotek/Fremont is now (Finally) in the UK. Shiny!

I can't remember if I posted this or not, but if I didn't - here you go. Hanson Little is now on Mutiny Pro, and has this video to celebrate.

Hanson Little Welcome to the Mutiny Pro Team from Mutiny Bikes on Vimeo.

Keith Romanowski has a little vid up from the recent media-saturated TCU-Texas trip. 1 trip, 5 videos?

Apparently some guy who I don't know's done a really long nose manual. If you imagine a long nose manual on a ledge, you've basically imagined that 30 second video, so I can't really be bothered tracking some embed codes down. Essentially, this is probably going to be more interesting:

Oh, and...

...this Darryl Tocco video's pretty awesome too, but then again, when aren't they?

From 2x4, where you can browse pop-up and stress free...

I don't know if Antonio reads this, but if you do, this one's for you.

I've really got things I need to be doing, but this video of Harry Main is pretty damn amazing. Because it's such an 'exclusive', you'll unfortunately have to either be subjected to the ads over on Mpora or the ones on Ride's site. Trying to use either with tabbed browsing sucks, purely for the obvious reason that as soon as you click a tab then move your mouse down

No thanks.

Anyway, Mpora seems to be the lesser of two evils, so go here to watch the vid and to BUY HUGO BOSS.

I can't think straight.

I just saw this vid up on Dig and knew straight away I'd seen it before a while back. I tried finding where I'd posted it on here, but I couldn't see it anywhere. Weird. I was so sure I put it up... Anyway, it's an awesome vid, so check it out all the same.

Focalpointbmx Samples Vol1 from cooper b on Vimeo.

Even went to the trouble of finding the Vimeo version so you don't get subjected to an hour and a half of adverts after the video finishes (Thanks, Mpora). Blogging dedication.

Build The Woods

I hadn't scoped out Build The Woods for a while, but a prompt from Homer's status update resulted in a +1 for their visitor numbers, and you should +1 too to check out some other bitchin' photos too.

The link's up there, so why are you looking here?

Mark Noble/Sandy Carson

Mark Noble's got a new Framed feature up, with the awesome dudes from WTP. To read it, click here. It's got some more pics of the new Warriors frame too, how nice is this?!

I'd seen some news about Sandy Carson buzzing around BMXFeed without really checking it out, but then I gave his site a click. He's got a new project up called God's Love Is On This Island, and it's well, well worth checking out. It's not riding related, but it's pretty powerful stuff.

Witty title goes here.

Man, I am tired. Long road rides, up late consuming alcohol, then up early to talk to a Borneo-bound Dan on Skype - I need more sleep. As a result, this is going to be fairly to the point...

I don't know about you, but I kinda like watching people who aren't BIG TIME PRO riding. Just "normal" people going out and riding fun looking spots, and doing some cool stuff to boot. That's pretty much why I was into this new Red Shoe Diaries edit. I've got no sound here in Wales so I have no idea what the music was like, but hopefully it's nothing bad, eh?

When Micreation did the whole "Pay to watch web videos" thing I didn't have a massive problem with it. I mean, I used the free codes before they expired so I didn't have to pay, but... well... I probably would've done, especially having seen how good that Brad Simms section was. Either way, if you missed the codes and didn't feel like paying $2 to watch a video, rejoice - here it is, somewhat later. Clickity Click.

As I said before, I've got no sound, and therefore no time. No time for the Big Big BMX Show, at least. 6 minutes of Glen Milligan excitedly gesticulating in pure silence, to see the Ani- I mean "A. Bike Co." promo. Fortunately, some kind soul ripped it to Youtube, so here we are:

It's amazing how a quick paint-job (Or "powder job" in this case) can make a bike look totally different. I can't remember if I posted up about Dave Mirra going brakeless (NO WAY!), but I do remember thinking that for a BIG TIME PRO (To use a recently used phrase) he had one awful looking bike. Well, somehow my criticism reached Mirra Towers and he decided to go for the stealthier look. At least I'd like to attribute it to me.

If you want to read more about what it's like to go brakeless, then click here. If you are brakeless already there's not really much point. If you run a brake, read it, then follow suit, haha. Like he says, you only lose fufanus... Although having said that, if I get snaked by one more person at a skatepark who's dropped their brakes but not actually gained any form of bike control, heads will roll!

Part of me would like to think that George Ramirez and Joe Vee were a sorta Jekyll and Hyde kinda one-person-combo, where there's the 4-peg street side of him then the freecoastery street side. That'd be pretty rad. Unfortunately, you do actually see them both in the same place in this vid so that kinda knocks that idea on the head, but hey ho...

Weeeeeeeeird! If you wanna check out a ridiculously early Low Profile by Dig about Chase Hawk, go here. It's always good when bold claims about people going on to become BIG TIME PROs comes true. Can't believe I've used that three times now...

Ryan Winterbotham edit

Farnborough local Ryan has been on the Pijin team for some time now, but not on the team page of our website simply because I never get round to updating it. You may have seen him in our adverts... now watch him in this little web edit. :)

William Spencer.

This guy's a proper hero. The Tate Roskelley of the skating world? Yeah yeah, it's skating, but seriously - check it out!

Check out his Hollarado section too if you want more...

Will this work?

Hopefully this doesn't blow up the blog, embed code gamble.

24hrs in Ohio

Just spotted this on ESPN, definitely worth a look!

Also, the second Coxie On Tour video's up. Didn't post the first 'cos I refuse to post videos of people hitting jumpboxes the whole time (Yeah yeah, bad weather, I k now...), but this one fully delivers:

This was up on Dig, and although it wasn't the Chicken I was hoping it'd be, the intro and pre-ender-ender make it worth a watch...

From the Seventies mailshot I just got:

"It¹s arrived!!!

One more brew the highly anticipated collaboration between Seventies and Project 5 is out!!! Filmed over the winter months, each section is filmed and edited by a different person including Ben Green, Charlie Jobling, Dario Demarco, Joel Nichols, Kyle Harvey, Matty Lambert, Ollie Wainwright and Rich Wilson

Each filmer/editor has shot different scenes from around the UK over the 2008/09 winter months and it features riding from the cream of the UK scene, priced at just £7 retail!

Features amongst others Niki Croft, Alex Kennedy, Donnacha Carrol, Tom Sanders, Dan Westlake, Ben Lewis, Jason Phelan, Dan Lacey, Scott Ditchburn, Taliban Tom, Bombhead and TONS MORE."

Big time!

Yet more TWW Bonus

And a bonus it is too - here's the Dan Cox/Mix section. Too good. I actually watched TWW again a few days ago, it's still full-bore awesome.

TWW Bonus - Dan Cox/Mix 2 from Joe Cox on Vimeo.

Speaking of Cox - here's Joe, gapping from feebz down a Barca stairset. Rinsed from the Sunday site.

Seeing as a bunch of people who read this are pretty into their metal boxes on wheels, here's a rad car video that was up on Defgrip (Cheers for the link dudes!). I'm preeeeetty sure I posted the last one when it was up on there too, but this is a sorta 'Behind the scenes' sorta deal. All good. (EDIT: If that doesn't work for you, go here to check it out on their site.)

Seeing as we're miles "Off Message" here, go here, get past Level 4 then gloat at Carlos next time you see him. Better yet, bust out a screenshot of that bad-boy, post it in the comments and we'll have some kind of unofficial Pacman Tournament. Make it happen.

Oh, and even more off topic now... I don't wear hats, but if I did, I'd tip mine to Michael Parkinson for this. To see even more ridiculousness about that, go and watch Charlie Brooker's Newswipe Episode 2 here and actually watch a member of the church describe Jade Goody as a saint. No, really...

(I'm pretty sure that's the most eclectic group of tags this blog's ever gonna have.)

New Hoffman rider

For some reason, Seventies newest rider is neither Shaun H or Lloyd W. Weird. Either way, it is Zack Williams from the sponsored rider factory that is Rampworx/Liverpool. Here's his new video, anyway. Oh, and he's on Hoffman.

Zack_Williams_park from Anthony Watkinson on Vimeo.

I have no idea... this is supposed to make anyone want to buy Ecko products?

There's a "Making Of..." video over on the Ride site that I would've linked to directly, but if I have that ******* Hugo ******* Boss advert cover half my screen one more time...

Speaking of - just remembered about the Derelict video they posted, so I had to go back on there to get the Vimeo link for that. Who knew - HUGO BOSS ad again. *sigh*

Spring is here! from Dave King on Vimeo.

That's kinda worth watching anyway. Still seems weird seeing people upside down over trails, and I don't really know why...

Anyways - rumours going around that UKBikeCo are no more? I'll believe it when I see it, but you never know...

Pretty sweet Gnarwhale edit all up in hurr, dude on the blue bike dominates.

Here's the pretty hectic best trick video from the recent JomoPro comp on the worst video player in BMX?

New Products V2.

Forgot to add this before, but yeah - a few more details are up on the Premium blog about Garrett Reynold's frame. The frame weighs in at just over 5lbs, but as they say on their site Garrett's not too concerned about weight, and if he can do all this stuff on a "heavy" frame, then I'm pretty sure it's good enough for everyone else...

New products...

New Loteks have been released, loving the black/white/green Coastals!

Stickers. It's about time.

It's been absolutely ages since we had any stickers. After being subjected to months (maybe even years) of pestering, I finally submitted to the pressure and got some more made up! If you want one, just come in to see us or order something online! :D

We also have a whole bunch of tee shirts too. Eight squid each. Or free if you buy lots of stuff! :D

Aitch Dee.

This is the latest Videorama from WTP. HD!

Kinda hard to say. It made me laugh and repeatedly say "Oh my God", but yeah... No spoilers! FBM.
