Shoulders suck. Just sayin'.
Moving swiftly on: Stevie Churchill definitely doesn't suck. You need to check that hop 3 whip at the end. Clickity click.
Rinsed from Defgrip who rinsed it from Volume.
Whilst on a lurking session avoiding the fact I wasn't able to go out riding, I had a bit of a mooch around the Props website where they've got a pretty interesting feature on Filming boards. A bit different to the usual BMX-web-content, and quite interesting if you're into your filming. Even if you're not, click that link then just go explore their site - there's a boatload of content on there you might not have seen before, and some stuff you will have seen before but which is still good, e.g. this Tom Dugan "Setup" video I posted a while back.
Scott Ditchburn and Miles Rogoish are now officially 'pro' in a skateboarding sense, being as both now have a signature frame from Subrosa. There's details of both their frames over on Subrosa's site.
Is Matt Priest the UK version of Mike Aitken (Or "UK-tken" for short)? Goof, trails style, manny skills, etc.? Seems so...

Frijj.
Just throwing this out there, but Frijj chocolate brownie milk shake + a mug + a microwave + 2mins or so = tasty beverage. That is all.
As mentioned previously, wah wah wah I'm busy wah wah wah - I know I keep saying it, but it's true dammit! As a result of that, here are some now slightly 'dated' videos in this 50-edits-a-day BMX culture, but are still pretty amazing anyway.
Pete Sawyer now rides for WTP as well as the usual 'fun', and this is a video of him made by Will Evans. Syntax failure there. I only ever post good videos (Fact!), so I don't really need to point out that this one's a bit of a belter, but I will anyway: This video's a bit of a belter.
In very much related belting news, it's not often you get people capable of throwing down moves on street, dirt and park. I know some people make a big deal out of 'being an all-rounder' and 'being able to ride anything in front of you' and all that, but after spending a surprisingly hectic Thursday trying to not punch out snaking scum at Corby, I'm fully not fussed about being able to do styley footjam variations on quarters. However, Georgy Doremus, who rides for Subrosa, has obviously not let some snaking kids put him off (I guess being a bit of a meathead helps in that sense?) riding park pretty well, not to mention street and a big ol' dirt ender. "Big ol' dirt ender" sort of came out wrong there, but hey ho.
Speaking of dirt, I hear that part of being allowed to dig trails is being able to talk at length about how dirt is the root of BMX - well, sort of, but here's the more accurate root, a bit of Bicycle Motocross Racing courtesy of Clicked. The tags on there lead me to believe he's clipped in, which to me just screams out 'karma'. It's pretty amazing how long he holds that body position for. Having dead sailored jumps that were minor compared to that I know how rubbish that 'Time slowing down/This is going to cane' feeling is, so multiply that by a million and that must be along the lines of how that one felt.
Hey! You know what's really not interesting at all? Sponsorship news: That's what. That's precisely why this is all you're getting from me about how two big name riders are now going to be given free shoes by alternative companies while suckers like you and me have to pay for the privilege of not tearing our feet apart on pedal pins.
I was all set to end on that note (partly prompted by the fact my TKMaxx specials are all but dead after 3 months of service), then a quick website lap reminded me I'd entirely forgotten to post the Shadow roadtrip. The riding is as good as the weather looks in this.
Toodle pip.
EDIT: Late addition again was this edit from The Kink House featuring some gentlemen lying down.
Still weirds me out seeing Lloyd in videos like this...

Mix.
Bleurgh. Long days in work = less time to update: Apologies all round. A quick lunch-time update:
WTP's new parts are now live on their site. Go check 'em out, they're sweet!
Phil Aller threw together some left-over clips as a little Profile edit. Short 'n' sweet.
Subrosa have a video up on Defgrip to go along with their Disposed feature on there. Every time I saw Miles Rogoish ride I was half expecting to see an E.T. in every clip, but there's a few less in this video than recently. Some cool riding in it!
This was posted by Paolo over on the Dig site. Paolo pretty much always posts cool, interesting stuff and this is no exception. Gotta be a pretty sweet job doing this sort of thing!

...right.
Usual weirdness from Erik Elstran - all good though!
I have a feeling I neglected to post this when it originally dropped, but hey ho - the new Get Used To It video looks like it should be pretty cool:
Speaking of 'pretty cool', Pete's reply of "Take a hike, Spielberg" to a negative commenter on TheComeUp is definitely one of the best rebuttals I've seen on a BMX site. While I'm talking about TheComeUp, those BallParkFranks adverts need to go. I've got about 12 tabs open at the moment, so the race to find which tab was randomly autoplaying Dave Mirra talking about things I don't care about wasn't much fun. That's not even mentioning the massive skating adverts all round the page too. Matador nailing that targeted advertising. Oh, wait...
This was up a while ago, but it got re-posted by Cult and is worth watching again.
This is a Caleb Quanbeck video which obviously means it's going to contain at least one ridiculous nose manual, but this one luckily contains two.
Having been stuck in bed the past few days, I'm going to go and resume my marathon BBC iPlayer session. Woke at 8am, watched the end of the F1, watched the end of the MotoGP, then smashed through the Commonwealth Games coverage. I am so bored.

I am now tired.
Weekend, w00t.
In case you were unaware, Scotty Ditchburn is really good. Subrosa are, hence him now being on Pro. This is his 'Welcome to the Big Time™' edit:
They've also got some awesome photos from Tom Perry (doing the unusual thing of being 'known' as Tom Perry then sort of going to a nickname, unlike most people who go from being 'known' as a nickname to then using their proper name all the time) on their site.
Something about G-Sport begging for followers on Twitter doesn't really make too much sense in my head - but there we are. A new Dakota Roche video hangs in the balance.
Dakota also has an interview up on ESPN.
Everyone loves new stuff - so does Kink.
Speaking of new stuff, Bas Keep must be getting some new stuff these days in that he's riding for Cult, which is also where I saw this edit.
Lastly - Mutiny have a bunch of photos up of Robbo doing a new line, which happens to look pretty bueno.

Blimey.
The new Ride (#135) is out sooooon, featuring one of the nicest cover photos (and indeed designs) in aaaaaaaages. Check it oot, to quote a Scottish colleague of mine.

Go here for some sample spreads. Also got some samples of Chase Hawk's new Cult frame.
Not content with releasing some photos of a bangin' looking Tierra, Fly have bobbed up some new photos of the Pantera frame. Looks pretty fly (InstantRimshot.com). Got some new Pantera bars too that are now 8.35" tall, and feature a non-kinky crossbar. Apparently Sergio learnt to work around a normal crossbar to get his no-handers done.

Precious little info on any geometry changes or anything, but hey ho.
The ever-interesting (for want of a better word) Miles Rogoish is now riding not just for fun, but also for Subrosa. Look, proof!
I've eaten too much fish and chips.a

Sweet.
Having a job is surprisingly awesome!
Anyway, been away for 3 days - catchup time.
Couple of web-vids that are most excellent:
Tom Blyth:
Darryl Tocco:
Ollie Wainwright (and friends):
Little Andrew:
Other news:
Kyle Hart has a sweet bike.

1,300th post? How?! Probably 'cos it's been around for a reasonably long time. Speaking of Long, Matty Long (Most tenuous intro out of any of the other 1,299...):
Forgot to pop this up yesterday (and I don't think I've done it before?), but Subrosa have got a new stem coming out that kinda looks like a revised Attack stem?

Oh, and about stuff I did yesterday - put up that David Grant (well, partially David Grant) video, he's got an interview up on BMXUnion now.
Wiz, 2x4. The trick-to-sunglasses-drop-to-ride-over is the ultimate highlight. Bonus - check out how far his shoe flies when he falls off that jersey barrier. Physics defiance.
Defgrip posted up that James Wade has put a new photobook up - click here, then go to August.

Big In Japan.
Someone was inevitably going to use that title for this! Subrosa have put up a sweet flip-book of their trip to Japan - click Subrosa's homepage and click the pic at the top!

Noooo waaaay!
Nooo waaay! You know that Subrosa advert with Greg Smee hopping over a line of bikes off a kicker? They made that advert happen by making a kicker, lining up some bikes, Greg Smee jumping over it, taking the bikes away and dismantling the kicker! That's incredible, and certainly not how I thought it would work! I mean, I didn't think for a second that to shoot a photo of someone jumping over a line of bikes, you'd have to set up a line of bikes, then get someone to jump over them! I'm so glad that Subrosa took the time out of their schedule to edit this video to show us how it was made.

Busy Saturday?
Weird - weekends are usually dead for news! Anyways, here's some:
Taj has a "Now and Then" piece up on Dig. Talks a lot about his worse-than-I-thought-they-were back injuries - sounds like a pretty savage deal. Link!
New parts news! Federal and Subrosa this time - Federal have got all their new stuff in - check out how sweet the Twilight looks, and Subrosa have a 10° laid-back Pivotal post. Keen on this:

In other Seventies-ish news, Shadow have done an "X" with Streetphire for this video, and indeed interview.
You can also click here to watch the vid with H-Man's trademark background/pic integrated Vimeo thing business doohicky.
This is a pretty rad video of the Tattour thing that's going on:
Go to BNQT for more videos.
This is Alex Magallan's 'scrap' footage from the new Sunday. The theme of badly chosen songs for video parts certainly holds true in the real DVD itself.
BROUGHT TO YOU BY SUNDAY!
If you were wondering how to Stay Fit (Diet Pills, Dieting, Weight Loss - boosting that search engine optimisation, boom boom!), this is how, according to Dakota Roche:

Bits 'n' bobs.
Segment have a few new designs up on their site, including this hoody which looks pretty rad:

In other "New Product News" - Odyssey are capitalising on the keen interest in Chase Hawk's bikecheck (Oh wait, that was 8 months ago...) and have released the hard anodised red Hazard Lites to the general public. Head over to their site to check 'em out, their new Flash widgets kill this blog. Might want to put the kettle on to boil and make a tea/coffee while you're waiting for their site to load, too...
Apparently, the Duffs 4130 shoe is "Iconic", or so I'm told. Personally, the only recollection of it I have was thinking they weren't all that nice, and that was it, but hey - that's me. Regardless, the new 4130 Low is out in plenty of Nike 6.0 biting colourways, so check out TK Maxx in about 3 months and grab yourself a bargain in their shoe section.
How awesome does this place look to ride?

Just ask Ruben.
Mike Aitken continues to progress, this time literally in leaps and bounds, jumping up onto an 8" high ledge with both feet. Considering the trouble he was/is having with movement on his right side, that's pretty amazing. Plenty of other updates on Mike Aitken.com too.
If I could embed audio on this blog, I'd probably get Hman to say "Subrosa" just 'cos it cracks me up, and also fits in to this next piece: Subrosa's new grips, frames and forks are now in the UK, according to an e-mail I got earlier. The Alameda, Rich Hirsch's signature frame, looks pretty damn sweet, although the seat-tube doesn't look as kinked as it used to? Might just be my eyes. Head over to their site and check out the pics on their - you can zoom in and pan around them to your heart's content, which is pretty cool, and certainly beats squinting at tiny 'detail' photos...

According to this video, Joel made it up to London and it wasn't raining, which suggest to me Joel's CGI skills are pretty godly. When did that happen?!
Reflex from joel nicholls on Vimeo.
Lastly, gonna try out these post labels and see if it makes finding stuff on here any easier. We'll see...
