Wait... what?

I seem to have missed a few days of posting stuff, despite me seeing plenty of things I wanted to post up. As a result, this is all sort of old but I'm going to treat this as an easily accessible archive (for me) of things I like. So, without much further ado:

Pretty much all the "At Home With" videos have been cool, and this continues that trend. Marv steps up to the plate this time.

Context.

I'm typing this seated on a brand new office chair, sitting at a desk with my laptop, a proper mouse and mouse-mat, a digital typewriter, an external hard-drive, a massive dead moth that's staring at me and some turbo strength cold/flu medicine. Just thought I'd set that scene for you. Feels pretty pro...

Speaking of pro - the Rail Jam at Interbike is potentially the only real thing I'm going to post from Interbike in so much as it was the only thing that actually involved riding, and I'm very much more interested in that rather than more unimaginative parts. Some of the lines people do in this are about a million % more original and innovative than almost every part shown at Interbike this year. Vital had this video up - I don't want to put any spoilers, but damn... I really want to say how awesome it was to see some of the moves in there.



Speaking of things that are awesome - any Erik Elstran footage is good, and this video for The Set is no different. I'm keen on anything that's pretty much done purely to wind up people who deserve to be wound up, so if you find yourself recoiling in horror and heading over to TheComeUp to cry about the double 'giver' in this video, then you and I probably wouldn't get along.



In total contrast to that, most Etnies edits seem to be produced to try and appeal to as many people as possible and offend as few people as possible, and this video's not really much of an exception. That being said, there's some cool stuff in there.



Cult apparently had a promo they made to play at Interbike, so it should be cool seeing that when it drops for us 'normies' who didn't go to the Worst Place In The World just to look at some bicycle parts and watch Garrett Reynolds do a fakie nozzer down a ledge (Spoiler!), but The Trip have already put their promo video up. Pretty much a remix of their sweet 35min long 'promo' video from before, but still, worth watching:



Speaking of promos, I can't remember if I put this up before, and checking requires extensive clicking and looking so I'm not going to do that, but hopefully I didn't... Eclat's team is "Stacked" as they'd probably say on ESPN, and for good reason.

I find it really hard to care about BMX teams, unless there's a team video being put out (infrequent). As a result, it's probably unsurprising that I didn't know who would be on Verde's UK team. This video (and the accompanying article in Ride UK) certainly enlightened me, although the sort of 'style' of team seems to be a bit different to the US team. Not talking about in terms of outright ability or anything, but they just seem to be different sets of riders. Meh, who cares?

Trey Jones is awesome. He's got a great section in the new Cult DVD (About £10 or so, available from the shop now, just give 'em a call! Amazing video, definitely worth it), and this Tuesdays With Miles vid from his back yard is cool too. Some awesome front wheel action.

Verde's team can do no wrong.

There, I said it. Even when Dave Thompson ghosts his bike it's comedy.



All the riding in this is nuts, especially the slightly unorthodox ender. All good.

Speaking of 'good', Akin Hercules-Walker seemed pretty good in his Ride interview, and he's now on the Emulsure team. I don't really know what, if anything, being on that team means or consists of, but... well... you get this video out of it anyway, so I suppose it's for the best.

A day late...

Well, slightly more than that in that this is a "Tuesdays by Miles" video and it's a Friday. Still, it's pretty rad!



Kevin Kiraly is pretty handy when it comes to riding bicycles. As a direct result of that, he's now got a signature setup coming out on Verde which you can check out here.

'Simpels'?

Fair bit of Simpel Session coverage this weekend - as you'd imagine - so here are three videos. Firstly, two vids from Ride UK of the Finals and then the Best Trick (Dan Lacey, oh my), then a quick video of Kevin Kiraly that I saw over on Defgrip. Next level...







Lastly, a quick link to a cool gallery over on Dig by Fred Murray - some rad photos in there, definitely worth a look. Well, actually, just tried looking for that gallery and it's totally disappeared? Not entirely sure why, but hey ho. There's these from the Finals, but it's not really the same...

Revert.

Well, after some 'exclusive content' (if that's what people still call it!), need to revert back to some reposted stuff. There appear to be a range of cool videos out today, which is all good.

Firstly, the Levis team mix. It's obviously going to be good, but damn, Jamie Bestwick is beyond amazing.

Kevin Kiraly generally produces some pretty amazing videos, and this one's pretty sweet even though it is purely park (boo, hiss). The brakeless flip to manny - taking it back to the old school Owain Clegg steez?



Another person it's always cool to see ride is Hoang Tran (That San Diego edit with the remix of Born To Be Wild on is too good!), so it was cool to see this pop up on my feed today, over on Odyssey's site.



In non-video news, the P5 jam at Newcastle went down this weekend - the setup was insane, and the riding was pretty nutso too. Every time I see Niki Croft ride it makes me want to ride better. The dude's amazing. Here's a little teaser anyway, more pics up on Streetphire asap!

Seriously, Verde rule. Nice-looking completes, nice-looking products (that are also legitimately good in their own right), and nice-looking web-videos:



Kevin Kiraly owns! Hadn't seen any Yeagle footage for a while, so that was a treat too.

What isn't a treat, and what isn't nice-looking, is this ridiculous press release from Duffs to announce Karl Poynter's now riding for them. They go on about their company make-over, yet they still haven't got the point...

Finally, Joe Simon and Mike Mastroni have a split interview kinda thing up on Ride, all about filming, editing and so on.

Stefan Lantschner seems to be under most people's radars, yet he's one of my favourite riders. As soon as I see mention of a video featuring him or Bruno H I'm generally all over it, and this time it was no exception when I saw Dig had posted a new Stefan L video for Eastpak/Carhartt. Yeah, the song's been used before but it's still rad...



In related video news, there's also this old Stefan/Bruno/Italy video that was on that Mpora account that features the best bike ghost ride I've seen in time at around the 0:40 mark.



Similarly, there's a distinct lack of Kevin Kiraly footage, which is something that needs to change. Fortunately, after an absence from our collective screen, he's got a video bikecheck up on Vital with a few riding clips:

Garrett Reynolds has a new signature frame, which features a seatclamp frighteningly similar to the snap-o-matic UKBikeCo original clamp. Here's hoping it's different (Although having said that, the Low-Pez frame from Premium appears to be straight out the same catalogue as the Revolution frame from Unknown, so I guess it's just the same people knocking out the same frames...)? Anyways, you can probably guess the standard geometry it's going to have - 13.75" rear end, 75deg head angle, 20.5" and 21" toptubes, 11.5" BB - but it is a little heavier than most 'new' frames at 5lbs 2oz. I also refuse to dignify their ridiculous "Certain colours for certain toptube length" setup with an explaination, so you'll have to try and piece it together for yourselves...

Possibly the best thing from today is seeing that Mike Aitken is back on a bike, according to this story on his site and this video:



It must be a pretty amazing feeling to get to roll around on a bike again after all he's been through. Good luck with everything, Mike!

In other news...

It's interesting to compare styles of video that are based on a fairly similar format. Both of these videos (One featuring Stephen Moxley, one featuring Josh Betley and Kevin Kirally) are park based, yet I'm way more into one than the other. Have a guess.

Hanson Little, who rides for Mutiny, has the cover of the new Dig:



Looks pretty rad, and if you click around on the Mutiny and Dig site you can see some of the spreads from the mag which look sweet as hell. Like they said on the Mutiny site, give print some love and pick up a copy - Dig are getting it spot on these days.

Steven Hamilton's section in Can I Eat is one of his most talked about sections (And with good reason), but his part in All Day was pretty rad too. And, in fact, here it is:
