That's right - Saturday Video Frenzy time.
Tom Dugan is now riding for Fit. Joe Rich is cool with this. Mike Aitken is cool with this. Ergo, you should also be cool with this. Here's a sort of 'see you later alligator' edit Joe Rich did featuring Tom, Joe and Ruben Alcantara riding some crazy setups in Malaga, at the time for T-1.
Double header from the Etnies/DansComp tour - first up, this edit of the whole trip. Features Chase Dehart, Nathan Williams, Corey Martinez, Tony Hamlin and some other people here and there. That ender is sweet.
The Bakery also have a little edit from when that trip rolled through - I'm assuming I won't be able to embed it, so click here to watch it with the date over-laid over part of the video.
Randy Taylor footage is always good to see, especially after the past 12 months where he's been MIA for one reason or other. This edit is his getting back into things vid for Mutiny.
Dennis Enarson is ridiculous, as this video I saw over on the Props site shows. Just sayin'.
Lastly, another Defgrip exclusive, another cool video. Pretty much on a 100% record there - those guys rule. This time it's a Bobby Simmons video which features some good stuff. Manuals for miles - Link!
Riding time...

Infoburst.
Clash of the shoe companies? Two 10 minute (ish) videos, two sunny locations in Europe, two teams with awesome riders, two totally different budgets/setups/ideas. All good though...
Almond...
Etnies...
Pat King is amazing. This is from Banned 4 and... well... you just need to watch it. Now.
I'm sure there's more, but I'm completely burnt out. If I can function properly tomorrow I'll attempt to resurrect things... Bye for now.

Cool Video Friday #2
We've had one before, and here's another one.
Cool video from Simpel Session featuring some pretty rad bicycle stuntery:
From Ride US.
A cool video of Tony Hamlin doing some bicycle stuntery where things are a lot warmer and drier.
And lastly, just a plain, old fashioned cool video featuring people I've never heard of before having a fun time.
Bueno!

Hotchpotch
Another day, another cool Rich Forne/Mutiny edit. This time featuring Mat Roe taking one in the ribs (And simultaneously one for the team) at the Works. Cool vid!
Another week, another cool Tuesdays With Miles edit. Pretty much chock full of riders I like watching ride: I approve. Fastplant to fastplant? Yeeeeah.
In semi-related news, Tammy Jane has some cool clips in this, as do the rest of the Coalition team.
Didn't even realise that Tony Hamlin was on Coalition...

Some time later...
So, it's been a while. Saw a bunch of cool stuff I didn't get a chance to post, so here's a sort of fragmented recap on things I thought were good/interesting.
ESPN had a bit of an Empire related frenzy this week (well, not really) - firstly a 'house check' with Chase Hawk showing how riding bicycle well can make you enough money to get amongst it in a piiiiimp apartment, and secondly with a catch-up with Tom from Empire about Dave Parrick who's currently throwing together the new Empire video. Confused? You will be. The last ESPN piece I was going to mention was this interview with Chase Dehart. Seems like a pretty straight-up kinda person which is good to see in this day and age. Seeing as that's a load of text-related posts which will interest about 2% of the readership of this blog, here's some moving pictures and sounds.
Kink are not only almost homeless, but are also in possession of some ridiculously talented riders. This video highlights this.
I spotted this over on Clicked who spotted it on Vinyl (which means, Mr. Anonymous Commenter from before, that I didn't 'just copy it from TCU or Vital'...). Clint Reynolds is one stylish dude, and is yet another reason to buy Anthem 2. Just saying.
Something that did come from TheComeUp is this - the intro to OSS "Football", and the first section by Mr. Rory Ellis. Tune! Very much looking forward to Craig Passero and Mastroni's sections in that.
Lastly, one for you filming geeks - a 1000fps edit that isn't someone nibbling a park. Bruno's got a crazy way of doing things!
Seeing as no-one (apart from Woozy) use it any more, it's mental seeing the embed code for Youtube now having been so used to the new slim-line Vimeo code.

Cavalcade of awesomeness?
You betcha! First off, an amazing edit from Kink featuring footage from the Kink House. Considering they're on 'flow', Lloyd and Ben Hittle absolutely rule in this. Some super good riding in it and a cool edit, so set aside some time to check it out. Right now.
Continuing the 'Best of 2010' web videos shenanigans, Defgrip have just put up this collection of their exclusive edits from the past year. Some really great videos in there (naturally), too many to feasibly list.
Cult have continued uploading their edits from the year, so check out their Interbike promo here and click over to their site to see more.
Ricky Adam has also got involved with posting up year-end recaps, this time a slideshow of his favourite shots of the past year. Ricky's one of the best out there so it's cool to see more of his work. RickyAdamPhoto is where you need to navigate to to see more.
That's quite a lot to be getting on with, so get it all assimilated then use it as some inspiration for tomorrow if you're lucky enough to be getting the day off thanks to that bank holiday...

Mixed bag.
If you're a fan of incomplete photos of pro riders bikes, then it's almost like Christmas (2011) has come early, thanks to Mutiny and G-Sport.
If, however, you like cool videos showing what it's like to be part of a team and getting to travel the world and get scared by some guy in a boat, this one's for you (thanks to the ever-awesome Kink.
Lastly, Red Banks Jam? Be there!

Cult update their website pretty much all the time with bits of info about their team riders, often accompanied with cool photos. Today is no exception, with Trey Jones doing a pretty rad manoeuvre - click here to view it.
Kink have put up their Euro Jetlagged video. Lloyd's got some bangers in this, as does pretty much everyone. Plenty of general drunken debauchery, but some good riding too!
More info's come out on the... er... 'interesting' Aitken gloves - those brown ones could actually be made of human faeces and they'd still sell like hot cakes. Check 'em here. If you like your gloves less camp, you're also covered.
Sunday continue to have a good team and a bad video player - here's a combination of those facts:
I don't think I posted it yesterday, but the second Lotek Mixtape video is going live now. This is the first section featuring David Grant and Craig Passero, rad stunts galore.
In 'Cool ender' news:
Proper's new video 'Picture Box' looks like it should be pretty cool:
...and that's pretty much it.

Wahey.
Some thanks are owed to a couple of websites for the awesome videos you're about to behold - Stranger for the Craig Passero "You really need to watch this now" edit, Osiris for the Miles Rogoish "Marmite ETs" edit, and BMXUnion for putting up this interview with Lloyd Wright and also posting up an old Dig edit featuring him and some of the rest of the Kink team. Muy bueno!

Keeping up appearances...
Super busy the past few days, so apologies for the lack of updates. Fortunately, whilst I've been doing other stuff, Tony Hamlin and his girlfriend put this edit together. Questionable sentence in retrospect, but hey ho. Always rad to see more footage from him!

Context.
I'm typing this seated on a brand new office chair, sitting at a desk with my laptop, a proper mouse and mouse-mat, a digital typewriter, an external hard-drive, a massive dead moth that's staring at me and some turbo strength cold/flu medicine. Just thought I'd set that scene for you. Feels pretty pro...
Speaking of pro - the Rail Jam at Interbike is potentially the only real thing I'm going to post from Interbike in so much as it was the only thing that actually involved riding, and I'm very much more interested in that rather than more unimaginative parts. Some of the lines people do in this are about a million % more original and innovative than almost every part shown at Interbike this year. Vital had this video up - I don't want to put any spoilers, but damn... I really want to say how awesome it was to see some of the moves in there.
Speaking of things that are awesome - any Erik Elstran footage is good, and this video for The Set is no different. I'm keen on anything that's pretty much done purely to wind up people who deserve to be wound up, so if you find yourself recoiling in horror and heading over to TheComeUp to cry about the double 'giver' in this video, then you and I probably wouldn't get along.
In total contrast to that, most Etnies edits seem to be produced to try and appeal to as many people as possible and offend as few people as possible, and this video's not really much of an exception. That being said, there's some cool stuff in there.
Cult apparently had a promo they made to play at Interbike, so it should be cool seeing that when it drops for us 'normies' who didn't go to the Worst Place In The World just to look at some bicycle parts and watch Garrett Reynolds do a fakie nozzer down a ledge (Spoiler!), but The Trip have already put their promo video up. Pretty much a remix of their sweet 35min long 'promo' video from before, but still, worth watching:
Speaking of promos, I can't remember if I put this up before, and checking requires extensive clicking and looking so I'm not going to do that, but hopefully I didn't... Eclat's team is "Stacked" as they'd probably say on ESPN, and for good reason.
That's it. Apologies for the lack of external linking, but I'm very much not in the mood to type a href = "" target="_blank" and all that jazz over and over again. I hope that I'm not about to find that writing that in the middle of this paragraph explodes the Blog when I click "Publish Post" after I write the labels in for this post. If I didn't, woo. If I did, fffuuuuuuu-

...or near enough.
I find it really hard to care about BMX teams, unless there's a team video being put out (infrequent). As a result, it's probably unsurprising that I didn't know who would be on Verde's UK team. This video (and the accompanying article in Ride UK) certainly enlightened me, although the sort of 'style' of team seems to be a bit different to the US team. Not talking about in terms of outright ability or anything, but they just seem to be different sets of riders. Meh, who cares?
Here's Verde's UK trip. Highlights just how rad Kevin Kiraly is:
Trey Jones is awesome. He's got a great section in the new Cult DVD (About £10 or so, available from the shop now, just give 'em a call! Amazing video, definitely worth it), and this Tuesdays With Miles vid from his back yard is cool too. Some awesome front wheel action.
While we're talking new vids, the latest Road Fools, according to TheComeUp, will feature these dudes with a few bonus extras.
Madera:
Dave McDermott
Jeff Kocsis
John Ludwick
Josh Eilken
Mike Hinkens
Tom Villarreal
Premium:
Garrett Reynolds
JJ Palmere
Josh Harrington
Dan Foley
Chad Kerley
Sean Ricany
I think I may have posted this, but if not, Tony Hamlin is all good. From Kink.
P.S. Would've originally been a 12:34 post, but customers spannered those particular works...

Generic one word title goes here.
So, yeah... bearing in mind this is all 'scrap' footage, think of how I-should-probably-swear-here good this video is going to be? I mean, just check out that loading bay session?
Week after ankle merkage: back on it.
Tom Bright is a rad dude, and I'm not just saying that because of the high likelyhood of me riding with him tomorrow. This is part 2 of Dry Spell - I posted Scotty T's part a few days ago. Bear in mind that Tom split his time between racking himself on those hippy hops and filming and editing the video - multi-tasking: it's not just for girls.

Video-tastic.
Frenchys Day 3 - you know the drill...
ESPN posted this, so I'd imagine it's legit - Ruben in Grounded. Ridiculous.
Brighton allegedly wasn't ready, but in a change of heart it's now ready to be online. Spotted over on Federal's site.
The Budget Jam is go - 19th-20th September, to be precise. Pijin are, amongst others, helping out with prizes, so go there if you wanna win stuff!

History repeating?
I sincerely hope not. Please tell me the cringe-worthy scripts that used to plague BMX videos (I'm looking at you, Glenn P.P. Milligan - although notable mention goes to Dave Mirra in Sentenced To Life) aren't making a comeback? This Road Fools trailer would've worked pretty much with the opening clip of Big Daddy, that gigantic wallride, and Tony Hamlin chainsawing Nathan Williams' pedal...
Day 2 of that Frenchys tour is up. Click here for that, and some more surreal French music in a BMX video, and click the "Frenchys" tag to see Day 1. I'm not usually a fan of hang 5s in pretty much any form, but this video's worth watching purely for Randy Taylor's so-long-it's-measured-in-time-not-distance 3 and a half hour long hang 5.
Another week, another Tomorrow We Work section - this time, it's Marv:
I saw this link floating around some other BMX sites, but then I saw it pop up Deluxe so I assumed it'd be worth the watch. Sure was. Flip-whip crashes look scaaaaary.

Compare and contrast.
Odyssey have knocked up this edit of Gary Young, Aaron Ross and Chase Hawk riding in the X-Games.
Have Kink made a bad video ever? It doesn't really seem like it. This video's no exception - and in case you were wondering, I did some calculations, and that last rail is about 948% steep. So steep you don't even measure it in angles, it's a percentage. That's scientific fact.

Catch-up.
Dig put up another cool Refresh edit yesterday, some "Solid riding", as they say.
Chris Harrison's got a cool little "Rapid Response" thing over on Dig too.
I didn't really realise just how big the Fly team is, but yeah, pretty big! This is a cool edit of their whole crew riding the Worlds. Kevin K should've won the spine comp purely for dropping out the coping tyre slide thing, Taj style. I love those!
The controversial Mutant Bike company have another 'new idea' out, the peguard. Essentially, a peg with a built-in guard that appears to have a few flaws. The reasoning they give on the site such as "Hub guards are not simple to assemble and too large for its functionally" (Really? How?) and so on seems pretty debatable, and I'm fairly sure the lack of compatibility, limiting it's lifespan by having one point to grind on (Not the only peg like that, I know, but that doesn't make it good) and having a guard that could potentially bend upwards into the hub/spokes doesn't really count in it's favour either. I'm just still amazed that they're planning on releasing that frame with that seatpost setup (Apologies to the anonymous commenter who was unhappy I only listed 5 bad points with it, apparently that's not 'backing it up' enough)...

Don't get me wrong, some of their products are nice, but some of them just make no sense whatsoever.
RideUS are planning a follow-up to the awesomeness that was Insight, in the form of "Range Of Motion". To quote their release:
The Concept
Four riders who are well-rounded, able, and astounding on anything you put in front of them—Dennis Enarson, Tony Hamlin, Sergio Layos, and Dave Dillewaard.
Take those four riders on three trips focusing on each type of riding. Trip number one, a park trip up in the Great Northwest, has already gone down. A dirt trip up in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York is going on at this very moment. And a street trip along the California coast will go down about a month from now.
Now add in four more shredders on each trip that specialize, if you will, in what we’ll be riding that trip. Drew Bezanson, Simon Tabron, Darin Read, and newbie Ryan Wert went up to Oregon to ride cement. Cory Nastazio, Adam Baker, Mike “Hucker” Clark, and Luke Parslow are with us right now in the Northeast. And Aaron Ross, Garrett Reynolds, Sean Sexton, and Rob Wise will be with us in Cali.
...and this is a video from their first trails trip. Serious business!
Retribution have their Owl T's available now, and also have this Saturday Shenanigans video up. Controversial! They say they got it from an "Undisclosed location" but I'm fairly certain I know who made that...
Tony Watkinson rode for 20 minutes after the Worlds, and Mike King documented.

Morgan Wade has something to say, to quote the title of Ride's old Chase Hawk interview.
Random one, but Ani- er, I mean "A. Bike Co." have some wax out. Street dawg approved?

But for now, everyone needs to look below this post and check out again how insanely good those WTP completes are. My my!

Kink Taiwan trip
Kink have put up a cool edit from their trip to Taiwan. Turns out Sexton's got some new cheat codes for BMX - toothy hanger up rail to twist out and indeed to 180 bars out? Really?
Really.
In unrelated news, the Dew tour are apparently trying to make their overall brand more cohesive with the action sports environment and participants as a whole, or some other tech business speak... Vital has the info.
