Clash of the shoe companies? Two 10 minute (ish) videos, two sunny locations in Europe, two teams with awesome riders, two totally different budgets/setups/ideas. All good though...
Almond...
Etnies...
Pat King is amazing. This is from Banned 4 and... well... you just need to watch it. Now.
I'm sure there's more, but I'm completely burnt out. If I can function properly tomorrow I'll attempt to resurrect things... Bye for now.

Good news.
This is the best thing I've heard in a pretty long time. All that is (well, was) good about Ride now getting to do their own thing. Can't wait to see where it goes! I could pretty much just read George Marshall/Benson articles all day long - and look at their awesome photography too - so this comes as a pleasant surprise. To be fair I love reading Banners' stuff too, that Ian Schwartz interview was awesome as was the Canada trip write-up...
Press release type thing ironically over on TheComeUp.

Cool video Friday?
Seems to be.
Kink are operating a strict 'one in one out' team member policy it seems, so out with the old (Lil Jon) and in with the new (Chad Osbourn). Style for miles.
Also, 4Down have released their "Substance #3" video, filmed in Iceland. Cool riding, cool editing, cool filming, cool temperatures.
Staff took all their ridiculously good riders on a bit of a trip. Unsurprising, the riding is really, really good.
Lastly, if you go to China, watch out for those cross-roads, yeah?

Consistency?
You betcha.
First thing that you, as the reader of this blog, need to do is go and check out Benson's portfolio site, then check out the BMX section and the photo of James Cox doing a suicide. When it first came out in print it was awesome, and this just reminded me how good it was. There's also plenty of other good stuff in there, apart from the photo of Jimmy Rushmore at Rom which made me want to claw my eyes out.
Dig have a couple of things up today that didn't really interest me but may interest you. Firstly, I don't run brakes so Fly cables don't really appear on my radar, and secondly a Scott Ditchburn video bikecheck with what you might describe as a flawed riding-to-talking ratio. Still, if you - like here - are being blessed with a cold, rainy evening as a vicious blow from Mother Nature to make up for the last week of sun and ridiculous warmth, it's something to do, eh?
Speaking of sun and warmth, this video of Josh Eilken is a glimpse of what might happen if we actually get a summer this year. That, and if you get rad on a freecoaster and learn flairs...
I've got to go and edit a video now, so it'll have to be toodle pip.

Writing: No thanks.
I now know 10,000 words more about the future of citizen photojournalism than I did 2 weeks ago. Meh...
Apologies for the lack of updates, but needs must and all that jazz. To make up for it, here's a skate video. Ha. It's pretty sweet though so check it out, it's not like you've got anything else to do? And if you do, well, make time for it... Clicky
Heard rumours of this from when they were filming at SB, and lo, here t'is - at home with Benson.
Beginnings of an ambitious project? Just listed some local spots to me (How useful for people in Southampton? Come ride here!), gradually gonna expand it. My legacy for when I leave London? Who knows.*
When did Robbie Morales fire Tim Westwood from his script-writing team? He actually sounds normal now...

Muy bueno.
Ollie Dubs (As I've just decided to call him) has made this video for the Nike Media Apprentice thing that, if you haven't entered already, you're pretty much to late for.

I wish I could go to the Newcastle P5 jam this weekend. Seriously, Newcastle's too good. Only been there once, now I'm moving there in July? Smitten.

That made news? What? Really? Copyright: TheLondonPaper.com in case they try and sue or some jibber jabber.
I've ridden bikes recently, so have others - Brazel and Tim.

Related: Both of those mediocre spots are on that Googlemaps map.
