Just throwing this out there, but Frijj chocolate brownie milk shake + a mug + a microwave + 2mins or so = tasty beverage. That is all.

As mentioned previously, wah wah wah I'm busy wah wah wah - I know I keep saying it, but it's true dammit! As a result of that, here are some now slightly 'dated' videos in this 50-edits-a-day BMX culture, but are still pretty amazing anyway.

Pete Sawyer now rides for WTP as well as the usual 'fun', and this is a video of him made by Will Evans. Syntax failure there. I only ever post good videos (Fact!), so I don't really need to point out that this one's a bit of a belter, but I will anyway: This video's a bit of a belter.



In very much related belting news, it's not often you get people capable of throwing down moves on street, dirt and park. I know some people make a big deal out of 'being an all-rounder' and 'being able to ride anything in front of you' and all that, but after spending a surprisingly hectic Thursday trying to not punch out snaking scum at Corby, I'm fully not fussed about being able to do styley footjam variations on quarters. However, Georgy Doremus, who rides for Subrosa, has obviously not let some snaking kids put him off (I guess being a bit of a meathead helps in that sense?) riding park pretty well, not to mention street and a big ol' dirt ender. "Big ol' dirt ender" sort of came out wrong there, but hey ho.



Speaking of dirt, I hear that part of being allowed to dig trails is being able to talk at length about how dirt is the root of BMX - well, sort of, but here's the more accurate root, a bit of Bicycle Motocross Racing courtesy of Clicked. The tags on there lead me to believe he's clipped in, which to me just screams out 'karma'. It's pretty amazing how long he holds that body position for. Having dead sailored jumps that were minor compared to that I know how rubbish that 'Time slowing down/This is going to cane' feeling is, so multiply that by a million and that must be along the lines of how that one felt.



Hey! You know what's really not interesting at all? Sponsorship news: That's what. That's precisely why this is all you're getting from me about how two big name riders are now going to be given free shoes by alternative companies while suckers like you and me have to pay for the privilege of not tearing our feet apart on pedal pins.

I was all set to end on that note (partly prompted by the fact my TKMaxx specials are all but dead after 3 months of service), then a quick website lap reminded me I'd entirely forgotten to post the Shadow roadtrip. The riding is as good as the weather looks in this.

Last day of '09, have a good '10!

Last blog post of the year has some good stuff in it - Ride UK have been doing "Highlights of 2009" posts with a select few riders. Next up is Owain Clegg and it's a pretty good read. Check it out here.

I've just spent the past few hours trying to sort out car insurance. That sucked, but at least it's done now, so I'm off for a quick ride before working out what I'm doing tonight. Wherever you end up, have a good one.

Moving house, driving for 7 hours, not water in my house all day. Grumble. May well explain this post?





These are two new videos from Nike (That I saw over on Defgrip - linkity link!). I can appreciate that people outside of BMX might be able to make better looking videos with fancier graphics, but if you want someone to capture the 'feel' of BMX, someone involved with it is always going to get the point. It's pretty much a fact. If you look at photography and video work by people like Edd Templeton, Larry Clark and so on, their work is amazing because they're actively involved with what they're portraying. You can't get the real atmosphere and vibe of something if you have no involvement with it. There are so many talented filmers and photographers involved with BMX it seems ridiculous that they overlooked all of them. The majority of the BMX media world are generally under-valued as it is (Bearing in mind that without good filmers, those DVDs and web-videos everyone like to watch wouldn't exist, and without good photographers, those magazines that people like to read wouldn't exist either), so when they're denied even getting some kind of break by companies (Nike aren't alone in this, there are other BMX companies just as guilty), it seems utterly ridiculous.

Saw the pole jam in this S&M web-video, and it reminded me of how awesome pole jams are. Seriously, if you haven't ridden one, you're missing out. They're ride-able pegless too, so even if you aren't a fan of trick sticks you can still get involved. If you can't find one, make one - it's not hard.

No, not RTRBTN 2.5, the crash at the start of this. Anything that involves killing your knees, falling into water, and bleeding out of your head sucks, so combining all three is pretty impressive/savage.

I first met Tom Davis at a P5 jam in Leicester. I didn't know who he was, and in a write-up I did for S43 I just called him Chase Dehart in lieu of his real name. He did some rad stuff at that jam, has put out some cool videos, and this is his latest one. It's a bit OTT on the post production for my liking, but horses for courses, as they say.



The latest installment of "The Making Of Stay Fit" is up courtesy of Kuwahara, this time featuring Chase "Dems some tabez" Hawk.



Lotek's latest attempt at foot coverers is a "collab" with Shadow as Chase Dehart's signature shoe. Click here to check that out.
