Opportunity knocks.

Couldn't miss this opportunity - Fiend is up and running with this edit to kick things off.

My my.

All I'm saying is...

...click here, add to basket, hit up GoogleCheckout, wait for it to arrive (usually pretty rapid, cheers dudes!), put it in your DVD player, get blown away. The new WTP DVD is that good. Andrew Jackson's opening section is awesome then it just continues to escalate from there. I'd sort of forgotten how good a lot of WTP's more under the radar team is (e.g. Max Gaertig, Mike Brennan and Chester Blacksmith - all of whom you don't really see much new footage of a lot of the time), so it was a treat to see a load of bangers from them. Go buy it! Here's the trailer to whet your appetite:

Moving on to free stuff from people you do see a lot of, here's a mix of Garrett Reynolds, JJ Palmiere, Hoang Tran, Dennis Enarson, Ty Morrow and a couple of others. Some pretty rad moves in this. Ty Morrow = next level? Also features one of the nicest pulled toothy hangers I've ever seen courtesy of the freshly-brakeless Dennis Enarson.

Effort.

Blogger/Google are raging today for some reason, pure hassle getting amongst it to post this up! Not ideal as this video of Trey Jones made me want to ride quite a lot:

/\ From Shadow.

Interview time: More about Lloyd, More about Chase Dehart. Not an interview, but an update - this time about Ty Morrow. Click here for the info, read here -> for more info: He's doing better and doesn't have any serious brain-related injury. Good news.

There was more, but I've gotta go!

Bit of everything?

Some older stuff and some newer stuff today, standard affair...

Tobey Maguire took time out of his faltering career to do some sweet manny-180 related lines.

That was Tom Perry from TheComeUp, for Fit and Odyssey.

Jamie Mauri's section from the Bonedeth video is pretty ridiculous. Here's some proof.

In full-on contrast to that, Ben Hucke's style and background is a little different...

And as a contrast again, here's some words you'll have to read about the Albion over on Defgrip. Not long to go now...

This Tuesday (well, sort of...), Miles spent some time with Sean Sexton. Too good for words. Opposite...

This is a new video of some old stuff - specifically Federal's team riding at Simpel Session. Some serious bidnaz going on.

Had to listen to this on mute so ended up skipping a lot of it, but it contains some quality Chase Hawk boost footage so that therefore makes it worth watching.

So then...

So then - this is pretty amazing...

Via Federal.

If it means that more of these videos get produced, I think it's in our collective best interests to go and buy as many Federal products as possible from the shop.

Cool video Friday?

Seems to be.

Kink are operating a strict 'one in one out' team member policy it seems, so out with the old (Lil Jon) and in with the new (Chad Osbourn). Style for miles.

Also, 4Down have released their "Substance #3" video, filmed in Iceland. Cool riding, cool editing, cool filming, cool temperatures.

Staff took all their ridiculously good riders on a bit of a trip. Unsurprising, the riding is really, really good.

Lastly, if you go to China, watch out for those cross-roads, yeah?

Out of the blue...

Pretty ideal video to pop up of a Saturday morning - a 35 minute web-video feat. pretty much all the most interesting riders around. Click here to view it, see some good riding, and if you're "One of them" to realise that a good video doesn't mean you put a 50mm on your dSLR, put it on a tripod then film the same boring ultra close up, slow-mo'd clips of people's tyres at a skatepark over and over again, then make a cripplingly boring 5 minute long video that could've been 30secs...

Video overload!

Coupla bits.

3rd in the Nike comp went to the USA:

2nd went to the UK.

No pressure on the winners to justify it then, haha.

Shadow have gone on a trip recently.

United's video is going to be rad:

Vinyl have put up a cool edit of Timmy Theus:

ESPN have also put up a cool edit, but this one's of Trey Jones.

Think that's about it. 4 minute blog explosion!

Bleurgh.

Who cares about titles anyway? I should've just put :eltiT for the millionth time and be done with it...

Anyway: Kevin Porter has been through some dark times (Almost as dark as watching that England vs. Germany game in a "proper" pub up North. Winston Churchill speeches being played over the German national anthem? Serious business), but has done this web-video anyway.

Ty Morrow continues to be awesome, biting styles of video editing does not.

Lastly - Orchid have realised how awesome vulcanised soles feel and are now getting amongst it. This is a good thing.

A day late...

Well, slightly more than that in that this is a "Tuesdays by Miles" video and it's a Friday. Still, it's pretty rad!

Kevin Kiraly is pretty handy when it comes to riding bicycles. As a direct result of that, he's now got a signature setup coming out on Verde which you can check out here.

Lastly, if you want to see Lloyd pulling a classic "I've eaten too much" face, go here. Calzones rule.

Have a good weekend...

More S&M hub news.

Lurking pays off. Those were the shots of the S&M hub, and here's another one - this time with a drilled out 8t driver?

Shiny. Another rumour flying around is that they're potentially going to be out-sourced from S&M to none other than Profile? Who knows!

In other "Vague news about hubs" news - Alienation have popped up with a new clutch-system rear hub. Not a freecoaster! They're almost silent, and theoretically give almost instant engagement. Various companies have been doing them for MTBs for some time, and they're popular for commuter road-bikes and the like, so it was only a matter of time 'til they appeared in BMX. Allegedly the Ratchet was potentially going to be clutch-drive very, very early on, but Mr. French didn't like how quick it engaged going fakie. Hmm... Anyway, Alienation! More on Ride.

Might as well put this here too - Demolition have finally got a placca pedal out:

Apparently it's "Bad music, awesome riding" day for webvideos. First up is some nuts riding but awful music from DahStreets. Ben Hittle's getting dangerously close to breaking into the Top 5 riders to watch list?

BNQT decided to do a "Best of..." edit that teamed their best footage with the worst music they could find:

Go to BNQT for more videos.

Vansfans.

Vans have been making the most of the X-Games with this 'Congrats, dude!' video for Ty Morrow and rinsing some footage for the Chase Hawk shoe promo. Make hay while the sun shines I guess.

Apparently Kurt reads this? Either way, Timmy Theus interview up here. Click the tag down below to check out his cool video again!

Riding for silver...

Seriously, everyone else really is riding for silver. Garrett Reynolds, gold #7 in X-Games Street. Whaaaaat?

Thursday, July 09, 2009

So yeah... Pt. 2

But in other news...

Lightsinthewoods have a new video out that I saw over on Deluxe:

DansComp have a new site up, Dans360 - on it, they have bios for their (loose term) 'Team', including Nathan Williams, who has a photo of his bike. He calls his frame the "United Mothership" - signature frame ahoy!

Nice to see a taller frame, especially from a "new school" rider. Just as a reminder of how and indeed why Nathan's awesome:

While we're talking American shops, Staff have a little video out featuring Garrett Reynolds, J.J. Palmiere and Ty "So hot right now" Morrow:

EINBITTEN!

Is it wrong that "EINBITTEN" amuses me? Guessing that's "Embed" in German. Either way, poached this from over on Woozy. This video utterly rules in every sense.

Semi-related (In that they're a Vans Half-Cab bite), here are the new colour-way Lotek Eddies. They look sweeeeeeet.

The Federal blog is now up on BMXFeed, meaning I got the chance to see this Dan Cox updated bio with the greatest of ease.

Similarly, there's this rad update on FBM. Being able to make whatever frame you want has gotta be pretty damn awesome.

Two awesome videos.

First up, an entry into the Nike 6.0 vid/pics thingy comp majigger. Some of the shots seem kinda weirdly composed, but tip of the hat for the riding and painting...

NIKE 6.0 - A.D.P (FULL) from BLACK CUBE on Vimeo.

Also looks awesome compared to a lot of other entries 'cos it's on Vimeo not Mpora?

Secondly, Federal had Ty Morrow over and took him round the UK to meet the rest of the team. Nice touch! Anyway, the dude's awesome as are all of Federal's riders, so check it out.

Best WebVideo In Forever.

Bold claim, but whatever. The freshly signed to Federal Ty Morrow, and a video part destined for a previous sponsor. I love the way at the start his bike kinda rolls off in a "See you later..." kinda way...

Go to BNQT for more videos.

In other webvid news, the site that first seemed to really pump out quality BMX vids online, MidwestBMX, are back.

MidwestBMX.net is Back from jeff on Vimeo.

Crazy Germans.

Zwanzig Zoll Riders Mag Nr. 26 from Bommel on Vimeo.

The Making Of Stay Fit #23 with Homan, the New Era wearing alter-ego of Chase Dehart and Dakota Roche:

Lastly, the new frames from S&M for Randy Brown, Cardona and Cam Wood. 3/8" making a comeback? Rejoice, Profile Mini users. (Man, I hope these resize right (EDIT: Hell yeah!))
