Andrew Jackson's opening section is awesome then it just continues to escalate from there. I'd sort of forgotten how good a lot of WTP's more under the radar team is (e.g. Max Gaertig, Mike Brennan and Chester Blacksmith - all of whom you don't really see much new footage of a lot of the time), so it was a treat to see a load of bangers from them. Moving on to free stuff from people you do see a lot of, here's a mix of Garrett Reynolds, JJ Palmiere, Hoang Tran, Dennis Enarson, Ty Morrow and a couple of others. Some pretty rad moves in this. Anthem 2...
Well, this ought to be good?

Think I forgot to post this before, but the Red Bull Trick or Treat jam looked pretty cool:
In other 'Things looking cool' news, the new C.R.E.A.M. frame from WTP looks pretty good - more info here and here. Andrew Jackson is awesome, so that frame's pretty well deserved!
For some quality pigeon handling technique, check out this video of Mutiny's Continental version of Brazel (in-joke), Rubio.
Oh yeah - another Red Bull edit I just remembered about (and should probably put up by the other Red Bull comp edit above? Meh) - the Most Wanted comp from Austin. The BMX boards are lit up with talk of Kevin Porter doing a line someone else couldn't do - it's a comp, handle it. You don't ride comps to have a relaxing, fun time - that's what actual riding is for (seeing as KP split the money with the other guy anyway, it really isn't important).

Word - post 1500!
RebelJam best trick looked pretty hectic. Alex Kennedy is serious business now. I mean, he was good before, but that progression's nuts. Corey is also ridiculous (as we knew), and Nathan Williams is putting that third peg to good use.
Couldn't handle the idea of the 6 minute version yet, so I'm posting it here so I remember to watch it at a later date...
In WTP news, their new video has a new trailer, and they've also been getting amongst it in the Soulatour (the ambient footage:riding footage is slightly off in that...), and also with Tenpack and Macneil. Video evidence to follow.
BSD also went on the Soulatour too, here's their video...

The last few days...
Well, as a result of the Tim Lewis Live Text Update service I was getting I had a rough idea about the whole Ride to Glory gig, but a H-Man (Namedrop!) call on the way back from Leeds confirmed that WTP won this year. Good stuff. Go here for the legit coverage. Heard some interesting Jim C./Ben Hennon stuff, haha.
Anyways, as I mentioned, I was in Leeds for the Charles Prow "King For A Day" jam. Good times were had, and I think it was a great tribute to Charles. I put up some 'proper' words on the subject (and some photos) up here.
The day before, I ate a piece of fish that was as long as my forearm. All fish, right the way up the batter. Bangin'! I know, I know, I put it on my blog too, but it's a remarkable piece of food!
On the same weekend, P5 re-assessed whether Brighton Was Ready and held another jam. Ollie from Streetphire put this little edit together of the day.

And finally, another video, courtesy of Madera, who took a trip to Memphis.
EDIT: Forgot to mention as well - I said a few days ago about Fly having proto plastic pedals - well, they do, as well as a new type of stem with a different way of clamping your forks, and some other little trinkets too, including a weird new rear hub that everyone kinda knows about anyway. Super precise info there, revel in it...

Dig, Mutiny, WTP, etc...
First up was the most shocking bit of news today (Well, I say "shocking", the world hasn't exactly stopped spinning) - Morgan Wade is off Mutiny. I guess it kinda makes sense with how their team's shaping up, but still, he's been there for 8 years which is a pretty long time. They've got a bit of text up on their site about it (click here for that), which essentially is a "Thanks dude!" "No, thanks to you!" thing.
Also on their site they mentioned their '08 Webvid - well worth a watch! Here it is in SB, click "HD" to go check out the... well, HD version of it on Vimeo.

New products!
It's been a while since there's been much new product info type biz around, seems like everyone spent themselves at Interbike... Anyways, here's some stuffs.
I was checking out the sweet FBM blog today and happened to spot the preview of their updated Crown Royal stem, and their new 7075 sprockets. Check 'em out!
Mutiny have updated the Loosefer for '09, and have a little .gif file on their site and product info - click here for that.
You'd have thought with keeping Eclat's new product range running and getting their '09 product out there WTP would've slowed down prototyping of stuff for their own parts range - but not so. Here's a glimpse of their new "skewer" front hub:
There's more CAD drawings and information up on their site.
Lavar have been under the radar for a while now, but are still continuing to make really nice quality T's that are firmly in the standard Mark T-shirt Rotation System. Tom K over at Streetphire got on the case and got the 'web exclusive' of their new line, so click here to see them. Andrew Jackson also rides for Lavar, which gives me another chance to post his web-video from a while back that still rules.
In related news, it was H-Man's birthday a few days ago, so Happy Birthday dude!
Bonedave also reminded me about this on *cough*Facebook*ahem* yesterday, but I apparently brought about the recent snow storms in the UK by suggesting that the rubbish winter weather might be over. I can't really begin to apologise enough for doing that - but it's potentially not raining here at the moment so I might dust my bike off and ride it for the first time in over a week. (Edit: It's literally just started snowing again. I hate you, weather.)
You know you're bored when you start playing Tony Hawks Pro Skater 3 again. Dissertation shmishertation...

Top 10 things this week...
Well, I've got a laptop again, and therefore access to the Internet. As a result of missing a fair bit of Blog-updating-time due to a heady mix of loads of uni work and loads of computer hassles, I thought I'd just do a Top Ten list for things I thought were cool recently.
1. Micreation have been a firm favourite of mine ever since that Eli Platt web-vid. Everything they produce is generally pretty top qual', so it was cool to see they've got a DVD on the way. It would've been cool if Ian Schwartz had had a part (Seeing as he used to have a signature shirt 'n' all), but they've got Joe Cox and Brad Simms in there, so beggars can't be choosers. Here's the trailer:

3. I've made a few friends in fairly unusual and pretty random situations due to BMX, and Josh is one of them. I really enjoy seeing new footage from him ('specially in Electronical), so it was cool to see this new video from Josh and Kyle.
In case you were wondering what he's riding, here's Josh's bike.
4. WTP winning Ride To Glory, and therefore going on the trip again next year.

5. Kink's new video. Since the Props 68 video came out, I've learnt to expect big things from Kink. Whereas they seemed to have a post-Jim C era lull, they're definitely back on it now with a rad team. As a direct result, their team video rules. Plenty of amazing riding from all kinds of people, and the best part is that it's all a mix of street, park and trails. Refreshing to see in the world of foot high ledges, XXXL t's and "gangsta" rap on repeat. This is unrelated, but here's a new release from Kink. Buy their DVD, it's in the Shop!

7. Megatour8 trailer. The first Megatour that I might actually buy? Who can say!
8. This probably should've been number 1, so just imagine I swapped them round - RIDING! It feels so good to be out riding again after not being able to for quite a while. It definitely makes you appreciate any time you do get to have a roll around, so if you're just sitting at home bored and it's not raining, head out now and get some riding in!
9. Finding a PrettyShady video up. Good times! (For trails dudes, if you're that desperate to ride, Newport indoor park has a set of 2 fairly large, fairly steep jumpboxes in a row so it's almost like trails...)
10. I remembered seeing a video by Kevin Kiraly ages ago that I thought was pretty rad, and it seemed strange how he was so unknown, despite being incredibly good. Here's yet more proof.

Lakai have one of the best ads ever on their site - on the main video player on their site, click on the little black and white "LUCAS" logo and watch that vid. Radness.
In more important news, Mike Aitken is continuing to improve. He actually left hospital yesterday, and there's a video from a local news show up.
It seemed weird how on the one hand, that video was pretty sad seeing how he is now compared to how he was in the 50:50 video, but then you realise just how far he's come since he was in a coma and it seems amazing that he's fought back that far. There's still obviously a long, long way to go, but here's hoping he pulls through 100%.
