Intermittent wireless connections are pretty much the worst. I've been trying to do this for about 5 minutes, and I've typed one and a bit sentences. Patience tester!

TCU posted up these photos of some new Madera and Profile parts. Now, that seatclamp 'finish' (For want of a better word) is sweet, but it's just another example of a bikepart that looks awesome, but I can't see how it'd look good on a bike? I guess it is only a seat-clamp...





I made a post a day or two ago in which I made a joke about Fit/S&M/Rob-o/Moeller. It was purely based around the often crazy rumours (The highlight being one involving a grandmother taking Robbie Morales to court?!) that are flying around messageboards and forums around the net, and wasn't intended as anything malicious or offensive. If anyone felt put out by it, then I apologise for that, but it certainly wasn't meant in that way.

Worlds collide.

Even as recently as 2-3 years ago, the idea of Joe Rich having a big interview thing up on ESPN would've seemed pretty weird. I mean, having an editor from Dig - who in the past were never really all that keen on the whole X-Games, mega money, corporate sponsorship side of things - and Ride - who were also sort of along those lines - working at/for ESPN seems weird enough as it is, but bearing in mind how Joe Rich is viewed in the BMX world, and the general sentiments that people have towards T1, it just doesn't really make much sense...


...however, times change I suppose, so here's the Joe Rich Pro Spotlight. Even calling it a 'Pro Spotlight' for Joe ****ing Rich seems wrong!

The last few days...

Well, as a result of the Tim Lewis Live Text Update service I was getting I had a rough idea about the whole Ride to Glory gig, but a H-Man (Namedrop!) call on the way back from Leeds confirmed that WTP won this year. Good stuff. Go here for the legit coverage. Heard some interesting Jim C./Ben Hennon stuff, haha.

Anyways, as I mentioned, I was in Leeds for the Charles Prow "King For A Day" jam. Good times were had, and I think it was a great tribute to Charles. I put up some 'proper' words on the subject (and some photos) up here.

The day before, I ate a piece of fish that was as long as my forearm. All fish, right the way up the batter. Bangin'! I know, I know, I put it on my blog too, but it's a remarkable piece of food!



On the same weekend, P5 re-assessed whether Brighton Was Ready and held another jam. Ollie from Streetphire put this little edit together of the day.

EDIT: Forgot to mention as well - I said a few days ago about Fly having proto plastic pedals - well, they do, as well as a new type of stem with a different way of clamping your forks, and some other little trinkets too, including a weird new rear hub that everyone kinda knows about anyway. Super precise info there, revel in it...

Instead of talking about riders chopping and changing who they're representing, this time it's magazines? In order (Leaving out the obvious Noble/Noble change)...

Nathan Beddows is now bumped up to Assistant Editor on Ride.
Brian Tunney is off Dig.
Rob Dolecki is off Ride, and is now on Dig flow as Managing Editor and Photographer.

There are apparently a few other change ups in the works, so I'll keep you up to date in Media Team News some time soon. I guess it's all Factory so it's all the same thing anyway? Who knows. If you particularly want to find out, word on the street is that all the Ride guys head up to Cantelowes on a Wednesday night to ride so you could ask them yourself. Cantelowes is usually a pretty good time, so might as well!

Oh yeah - whole point of this spiel was that Rob D has a piece up on Dig about the change-up. Rob's an amazing photographer and writer so if he gets to put more time into getting content setup then that's all good.

Speaking of stuff I'm into - Mat Roe. Specifically, Mat Roe's signature frame from Mutiny, which you can catch a preview of right here.

Madera have made one of the more frightening looking stems of recent times. 9.1oz - que? Unfortunately I just bought a new stem, never mind eh.





In Mark news, I got to ride today without having to wear 5 layers. T-shirt weather in February? Hoot! Similarly, bright sunshine and new spots. Also got to see a couple of hyenas and some hectic birds of prey at London Zoo on the way there, as well as some music-type people's expensive mansions. Camden Lock - who wouldn't.

I'm down in Southampton riding from tomorrow for a few days - the weather's supposed to be good, so people had best be out. No excuses...
