Back in the game?

Well, sort of. Long distance trips each weekend are taking their toll. I do, however, still get a chance to watch BMX videos once in a while...

I hadn't seen any footage of Josh Harrington for pretty much forever until just now - his "April 2011" video's been pretty popular it seems, and with good reason. Brakes are off, over-pegs are on.



How come our security guards don't look like this? I mean, I could take or leave the gun aspect of things, but still...



That was shot by Rich Forne for Props - just a behind the scenes thing, so it'll be interesting to see the result...

Nike have money, and they aren't afraid to spend that money. This is how we end up with trailers like this one, for The Pool.



This is getting on a bit now, but Steve Churchill is a beast as this Demolition vid proves.



Shane Weston is one creative dude, which I highly approve of.



After a bit of a chat with Hman on Facebook the other night I had a lurk on Streetphire, where I saw this Unit 23 'spot check' by Dave Sowerby. The man can do no wrong, best edits! I mean I'm no fan of park edits, but this is awesome.



Kink put up this edit of the 'Best of' the Kink House as well as some unseen clips. The whole Kink team rule, so even though this is slightly older, largely re-used footage it's still boss.



Garrett Reeves is a beast. This is just 60secs of his riding - I'd urge you to check out his Football section (click his tag) to check that out too. So good.



Lastly - Fit put up this Trippin' edit to show they're bouncing back from that whole Cult thing. Some radness in this. Van Homan is still one burly dude even after bonking his head.

Miscellaneous.

Not Mixellaneous, although that vid was awesome...

Speaking of 'awesome vids', there's some cool stuff from Purpl that I hadn't spotted previously, namely their "Purpl30" features with Dan Paley and Thomas Pratt - one features some cool riding, the other features some cool 'stuff'. Interesting range of content though, always a treat.





Totally unrelated, but inbetween writing the first bit of that and finding the embed codes, I watched the final of the The Battle At The Berrics and seeing Paul Rodriguez turn on God mode about 3/4 of the way through was out of hand. Shut-down!

Speaking of TheBerrics, and also BrightonAin'tReady (which we weren't, I suppose), Kink have created a new 'project' for themselves in the form of The Kink House. Essentially a brand specific version of B.A.R., it also gives Lloyd Wright an awesome opportunity to escape the winter and hit up Cali. Jealous?

California related is this video from Defgrip, feat. Timmy Theus and Kevin Porter. I appreciate the way that every time I see a K.P. edit he does something that I think would be pretty fun to learn. It's obviously not the be-all and end-all of content for web-edits or even riding in general, but it's nice to see instead of the usual "+1" school of riding-related thought.



Ben Lewis scored the latest Fit UK ad, and this is the Ride UK video about how it happened. I sincerely hope I never see another video with those type of transition/layered clips ever again. I mean that.



In total contrast to pretty much everything else in this (that's generally been about clean brand identities, warm sunny weather and all that sorta jazz), here's a video of Jersey riding his signature BSD frame up in Aberdeen. Barca and California it ain't, but he still gets the job done.



Lastly, before I go and try and clean some of the Nitromors burns from earlier frame-stripping, apparently I Wanna Live got 'leaked' online. I'd strongly recommend going and looking at how awesome some of the sections in that video are, then I'd recommend giving the shop a call and buying a copy, thus supporting the company that brought that video to you in the first place, the best BMX shop in the UK who are giving you the opportunity to own it, and also getting to enjoy what's a really, really good video in the quality it deserves. Pirate copies just aren't the same. I don't wanna get all "FACT" on you or anything, but it's cool being able to watch videos in the way they were intended. Also helps when your house-share happens to also comprise of a beasting flatscreen HD TV...

Balance.

Often get accused of being too biased towards street on here, so here's a purely indoor park video. It's not just a token thing either, this video's awesome! So much good stuff in here - it's cool seeing the synthesis (went there) of a rad skatepark and a creative rider. All good.



Go out and buy a BSD frame while you're at it...

RebelJam best trick looked pretty hectic. Alex Kennedy is serious business now. I mean, he was good before, but that progression's nuts. Corey is also ridiculous (as we knew), and Nathan Williams is putting that third peg to good use.



Couldn't handle the idea of the 6 minute version yet, so I'm posting it here so I remember to watch it at a later date...



In WTP news, their new video has a new trailer, and they've also been getting amongst it in the Soulatour (the ambient footage:riding footage is slightly off in that...), and also with Tenpack and Macneil. Video evidence to follow.

Seeerheeeo Layyooo has an interview up on Etnies. Click "Part 2" in that link for "Part 2". About 48 thousands times better than any other online interview I've read for some, some time. It's amazing how far doing bad interviews can take you in life. Anyway, John Povah actually has some clue what he's talking about and has an interest in the subject, so it's an interview in which you can actually learn something about the other person. Not that I'm saying that standard "Top 5", "Top 3", or generic-sets-of-questions-that-you-ask-every-person style interviews aren't particularly interesting or compelling, but... well actually, I am. They're just not that great. I'm aware for an online interview you're not going to give it your all, but if you aren't, why bother doing it? It makes no sense. At least research the person you're talking about instead of just firing boring, generic questions at them in the hope that they'll provide something interesting? This is a bee I've had in my bonnet for some time, so you're all going to have to deal with me just letting fly there. Again, that's referring to online interviews. Offline dudes (aka "The mags"), top drawer - keep 'em coming. The new Dig, for example, is really good. Just some online dudes... Jeez, I don't understand how they can be that popular... Speaking of Dig, Edwin fragments from when he was 16? Bueno.

Looks like the seat's pushed back a bit, which is all good in my opinion. Speaking of, that Eclat Gonzo pivotal. Kicked back pivotal seats: More of them, right now, thanks.

Don't think I posted this up, but Sunday posted that Jim C had an interview on Defgrip about Up, Up & Away - here it is. Kinda weird in some parts, didn't really get who/what he seemed to be semi calling out, but there we are. All adds to the mystique and subterfuge. Either way, it doesn't really matter because there's going to be a new Ian Schwartz and Joe Cox section to watch. That's win.

What's not win is what's happened to Dan, who, having made it through Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Borneo and a bunch of other places unscathed managed to get his laptop, mobiles, iPods and some other electrical (Almost said "Electronical", damn you Odyssey!) items. Sour buzz, but life moves on...
