Confusing

Saw this on Mutiny's video page and wondered how I hadn't seen it before in that it was 4 days old, but then a quick look at the viewing figures suggests that it's only actually gone 'live' today. Thought I was slipping...

Goes without saying that it's pretty awesome though, Rich Forne's done a pretty decent job on that!

Bit more local-based, but there are more photos of Pijin's trip to the Nike Tunnel here by the official photographer Ben Mark. They're up on John's Flickr, so get amongst it. If you went there, you've pretty much been gifted a new Facebook profile photo, haha.

Winners.

Long been a fan of Tom Perry, and he's got a new edit up on Defgrip that's well worth watching, and would've been blogged yesterday had everything after work not been massively rushed...

In other 'videos I can't put here' news, Dig have the new Partners In Crime video up - this time it's with Bengo and Alex Kennedy, riding some awesome spots and doing some amazing things. Go and check that piece out here.

New Dig, you dig?

Lunchtime's pretty much up, so I've gotta do one. Trying to get a more even keel on the blog from now on, been a bit all over the place recently.

I believe I may have said that before...

Coincidence...

I was thinking a night or two ago how I hadn't seen Charlie Don't Surf for ages, and contemplated banging it in my DVD player until I decided that I didn't really want to watch it at that particularly point purely because of how much I want to move back to Newcastle every time I see it... Anyways, here's the first couple of sections from it. The video builds up really well, so stay tuned for the last couple of sections. Most definitely worth it.

Mentioned the Berrics inspired 'text in' thing that Ride are running - I haven't watched these because I'm in a bit of a rush and really have better things to do right now, but they might be entertaining. The Berrics version usually is, mainly due to the editing of them, so I guess these might be...

I would very much like to ride the spot in the first section of this video.

Lastly, Chicken rules. Anyone who's been to a P5 jam will know this, but still - he's amazing.

Actually, that wasn't lastly - I mentioned last week (I think?) about Mutiny getting Rich Wilson to do an edit for them. Turns out that edit was of Safe Nath, who appears to not be scared of going fast, and have a good rollback and toboggan. All good!

"That's what she said."

This is going to be a long one.

Top billing today most definitely goes to one of the best BMX photographers out there, Mr. Rob Dolecki. His new site is up now and is super good. Go check it out here and have a good nose around, plenty of awesome content!

In other creative type stuff, Mutiny have re-posted Rich Wilson's Media Apprentice video, with a cryptic 'Expect more soon' kinda thing. Should be interesting to see what that's all about, but in the mean time, an awesome video:

New video from RideTheSky that's worth a watch:

Dig have a bike-check with "So hot back then" Erik Elstran - click here to see a not-your-average bike check.

S&M have both a new website and a new webvideo:

Very much unrelated, apart from the it has the name 'moon' in the title, but the sequel to the absolutely awesome Lotek Mixtape is out later this year, according to their site. Can't wait for that, big guns!

It was pretty big news a while back, but Brad Simms has an interview out with some cool photos of rad (and sorta un-pulled stuff) trickery that talks a bit about his dropping from the Snafu team. Go to Ride US to check that out.

Last but not least, here's a Howies web-video for you to feast your eyes on.

...and with that, I'm gonna eat some soup, shoot some pool, then take some photos of shiny coloured aluminium stuff.

Hell yes!

The gap to wallride at the end of this video has been called out by one or two people in the past, and I've been there when someone's eyed it up previously. It's pretty massive, and I remember at the time sort of hoping they wouldn't do it because that way I wouldn't have to shoot a photo of them killing themselves. Anyway, Jason Phelan is an absolute monster whether it's gaps to wallride or [censored], so it's not too surprising he nailed it. While we're talking of nailing things, Rich Wilson nailed the edit, which is itself 'Very Rich Wilson' in it's style - not that that's a bad thing. Enough talking anyway, check it out. Trailer for a series:

I'm still waiting for my body to decide whether it's going to make me throw up for eating gone-off vegetable stir fry or not, so nighty night...

Carhartt win.

(Helpful edit: Auto-running videos need to stop. In any case, about 4 videos down that Profile video's going to start blaring away so you might wanna scoot down the page, nip that in the bud, then head back up here and begin reading...)

It's really no surprise Rich Wilson (or Forne depending on where you look/who you speak to?) won the Nike Apprenticeship with skills like these! The dude's awesome at making videos, this is no exception. A pretty different take on indoor park videos, so no doubt the interwebs are going to be flooded with copy-cat edits asap. You know it'll happen...

Niki was riding the P5 jam with some "RIP Broady Banks" stickers on his bike, commemorating the recently merked Nottingham spot. To give you an inkling about what the spot was like, here's a section from The Make's What's What DVD with some classic footage from there.

I can't remember whether this Mulville video got posted out, but basically the dude utterly rules so any content is good content. This video is a bit older, and this Profile video is... well... newer? Anyway, here's two videos of Mark Mulville.

I shamelessly copied those videos from Deluxe.

Oh, and in other news that's very much less interesting from my point of view, Jake Daw is now riding for Stereo BMX, who aren't Stereo set up by My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee. I mean really - there are a katrillion different words in the English language, I'm sure they could've found something else? "Publish"? "Post"? "Save"? "Now"? "Draft"? "Autosaved"? Just a few that spring to mind...

That's Jake riding, anyway. Enjoy it if you're into that parky biz.

One last thing...

...entirely forgot to post Rich Wilson/Forne's edit of the NASS Street finals. Put the 'ambient' edit up before, so here's what's essentially part two:

Happier stuff...

ESPN had this video up today, well worth checking out. Yeah, yeah, he's goof - but so what, the riding's awesome!

Awesome on ESPN is another of Mark Noble's awesome series of interviews with various movers and shakers in the BMX industry, this time is the "Part two" of his interview with Profile. Click, read, learn.

Props have a new video out soon, #73. Still using that same title sequence, troopers.

Rich Wilson's first job since getting the Nike gig was to document NASS, which he duly did. Here's the 'non riding' edit that I saw on Ride's site:

"Lil Jon" took time out from being a mediocre rapper to do a web-video for Sun-Ringle:

I've been mentioning the whole BMX media thing quite a lot recently, and how I'm pretty sure there's change in the air - perhaps this is the first sign? According to TheComeUp:

Alex Raban sent over this day edit of Ian Munro shredding a school. Apparently it was supposed to be a “paid for” exclusive edit on a site, but it got turned down because the riding wasn’t up to par.

I wasn't particularly keen on it anyway, but it's interesting that that's how sites are operating these days. Point of the web-edit's apparently been missed?

Nike Media Apprentice...

...well, it's not me, haha.

Rich Wilson (Or Forne depending on what video you happen to watch), the guy who did Hull's One More Brew section and Us & Them, produced a bangin' entry, and then a bangin' final edit too, which you can check out here:

You can check out all the other entrant's stuff here, and mine here.

EDIT: Just spotted this video that explains it all a bit more:
