So, Ben Lewis. Dayum. This video's been floating around on many people's Facebook pages today, a pretty ridiculous Baker's Dozen. I haven't really been that into some of the ones so far, but this one was awesome throughout. Give it a watch, some pretty different, creative and more importantly new stuff in there.

Speaking of, you could also use all of those adjectives to summarise Shane Weston, who's now on Eclat pro.



Lastly, BSD got awesome in Austin - Kriss Kyle appears to be pretty handy with the ol' rails these days?

This is also new, at least to me/the internet - Greg D'amico is a name I've heard of before but couldn't really remember seeing his riding. This is pretty sweet though. I sort of really want to try jumping through a swing now.

Lastly - I'm going to a rally school tomorrow to drive fast sideways. Despite the fact I'm going to be ragging around in a pretty sweet rally-specced car, I'd imagine that I'm still going to be going slower than Gary Young in this edit for Odyssey.

Right, so this might not work. I'll preface it with that.



Hopefully, what you can see above is the awesome 'zine that Rich Forne put together about the Dunkerque trip that I posted up yesterday. If the above doesn't work, hit up Mutiny's site. It's well worth reading!

You might notice as well how the video's really good to watch - nicely filmed, works really well together? Might also spot how the photos look cool too? Well, that's sort of what happens if you get people who specialise in doing things to do them. A while back BMX photographers started getting sort of replaced by just 'people with a camera', and it seems Vans are stepping it up with the new Let It Ride video "Bro cam project". I don't know if there's a seperate 'proper' video to go with this, but I'd certainly hope so. If not, maybe we should progress this whole idea along and stop frame designers and product engineers from doing new products, and just get people who can draw a semi-accurate picture of a BMX part to design them? I mean, you know, all it really is is drawing stuff, right?



Lastly, something I forgot to post yesterday - Kriss Kyle keeps getting better...

Often get accused of being too biased towards street on here, so here's a purely indoor park video. It's not just a token thing either, this video's awesome! So much good stuff in here - it's cool seeing the synthesis (went there) of a rad skatepark and a creative rider. All good.



Go out and buy a BSD frame while you're at it...

Eastern have a trailer out for their new video, but they've made it a lot of hassle to embed, and for a trailer that's not even that good I'm not going to bother. Just imagine little second long fragments of clips set to music you don't care about. Thaaaat's it.

There's a pretty cool video of Kriss Kyle floating around courtesy of BSD and Dig, and due to new online fashions you can now only view it over here.

One of the bonuses of online videos is that, at blogs such as this (Or whatever your favourite online video checking out haunt might be - although it should be this one...) you can see all the decent videos in one place. If your video is slightly under-par (Not saying this video is, 'cos it's actually pretty cool), or if it's a rider who's not as well known and so isn't instantly going to get you hits (Again, not saying that's the case here), then one of the benefits of blogs that pick out the best videos for all to see is that you're more likely to get views from convenience. Essentially, what I'm saying is - if you've got a video that's of, say, a slightly un-known rider or isn't the best production wise, or is just a really short little clip, if someone just has to click 'play' and then watch the video, then your video will get more hits than if someone has to click through to another site, then get to the video, then click play. I'm not saying it's right, but people are lazy and won't want to have to go round the houses to check out a video that may/may not be any good. Again, just to clarify - seeing as a lot of people seem to have a habit of taking what I say out of context/not getting the point - I'm not saying this video is anything other than 'pretty sweet', just refering more to the current trend to set videos to be 'exclusive'.

Just my thoughts, anyway...
