My oh my.

Potentially the best street skating I've ever seen.

Lurked by Netley originally.

Oh noes, skateboarding!

Yeah, well, it's good. Alright? The Get Busy Living videos are all worth watching, whether it's the full video or just the 'Episodes'. Free, rad content.

Watching how ridiculous awesome that footage looks also reminded me about Defgrip's camera feature. A pretty good read, 'specially if you're into all things video.

Lastly, from Mutiny, is a video that I didn't really get, but was amused by.

(skate tricks and stunts, yo)

Although this sorta counts 'cos Chris is actually capable of doing BMX tricks on whoever's bike he steals a go on at Southbank. Either way, the guy's got awesome style and a great way of looking at spots. Really makes me want to go out, ride, and skid down some flatbanks. Get inspired!

Claremont HD.

I've always been a firm believer that bikes, fundamentally, are awesome. I enjoy just riding my BMX, or even my road bike, just to cruise around on - no tricks, no tech stuff, just riding around on my bike. It's the first real tool for independence you get when you're a kid, and that feeling of being able to just head off and go wherever still feels the same to me today. As a result, I'm fully into this video of two dudes bombing some hills on skateboards. No, it's not a triple whip or a tech grind combo, but it's 100% more interesting as a result. It's definitely worth checking out in HD.

(Edit: For the people out there with poorer concentration spans, the HD skating is about 1:30-5:00, then it's SD from 5:00-10:00...)

Trails skating

Saw this over on the Ride site, and having finished being bombarded by Red Bull and Gilette ads, I managed to get the embed code. So yeah, here it is:

I'm off to get caffeinated and shave, brb...

Miscellaneous...

Was flicking through the new Sidewalk magazine last night, and they had a pretty sweet story from the Vans China tour. They made a mention of a Podcast of the trip on the Vans site, and it features some pretty amazing spots, some pretty amazing skating, and some pretty amazing filming/editing. I know, I know - it's skating, but at the same time the stuff they're doing is nuts, it's super nicely filmed, and is well worth checking out. Click here to check it out on the Vans site (Last one of p3 of the vids, and first one on p4), or click here to check it out in iTunes (Scroll down a bit). Just search for the China Tour and China Tour Action vids to see it. Bit of a faff, but that's life I guess!

Also, talking of "faff", Red Bull wanted to do some fancy stuff for the New Years celebrations, so they got a guy to "Backflip" (I use that term incredibly, incredibly lightly, bearing in mind he drives into a jump with a flicky launchy thing on it. Tech.) a "Truck", and a guy to jump up onto a 100fT replica of the Arc de Trioumphe and then gap back down. The motox stuff's pretty nuts, the truck stuff - not so. Click here to stream the vids.
