Freestyle BMX at 2012 Olympics? Ok, can this really be true? And if so, is it a good thing?
I think the biggest problem is going to be the people running the event. This is what Dave Brailsford, British Cycling's performance director said at a meeting at the Houses of Parliament yesterday :
"The information I'm getting is I'll be performance director of street BMX so I will have to go and get my hoodie and baggie shorts."
Dear god, this guy doesn't have a clue! :S

hm, I heard bmx vert rumoured to be in for 2012 a few years ago, but street would be much better. can we get involved though and make sure it gets done properly please?
So it's amusing that the image of bmx is hoodies and baggy shorts but it's perfectly acceptable for people to wear lycra all in ones and shave their legs to ride around in a circle wearing a helmet straight out of robocop?
