Kink have always been the premium among premium among American BMX brands. Want a Kink frame? Cost you an arm and a leg! Kink have a new KC Badger signature frame in the works named 'The Flying Dutchman'. Don't know the exact price of it yet but its going to be a lot more affordable! Following in the footsteps of some of the other American companies out there, production of this frame has moved to Taiwan. Hopefully, this will mean the frame will only cost 1/2 as much as the American made equivalent. I think I can put up with a 'made in Taiwan' sticker after all...www.kinkbmx.com
On the subject of cheaper manufacturing... this appeared on the bikeguide forum the other day - www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYs_i93tjGk. Look out for the wheel building machines (around 7 minutes into the video) - they're amazing! If only I could build wheels that quick...

Taiwainese frames are better quality in lots of cases anyhow. Seen lots of s&m's which had bad paint, welds, dents...I'll save the money and get a macneil ;)
